PADCASTER The Parrot Teleprompter Kit, Portable Teleprompter for iPhone

This little device works much better than expected. To be honest, I thought I was getting Version 2, with its better phone support, but it's not a deal-breaker. I love the fact that it's so compact; it sits very easily into a relatively small camera bag alongside a DSLR and shotgun microphone, making for a sweet little grab-bag for videos.

Purchased this from Amazon Global and what a great service that is! It cost £11 for delivery and import charges from the US and only took 5 days to arrive! It is a really neat and compact design which weighs next to nothing. It has pretty much every size of lens adapter you can think off so should fit pretty much every camera filter mount. They are quick and easy to swap and the Teleprompter comes on and off easily allowing you to leave the adapter in place while you take some shots then pop the Teleprompter back on hassle free when you are ready for your piece to camera. It fits my iPhone 7plus while its still inside its Otterbox defender case with ease. The glass has little if not no effect on the colour of your footage and there is no light bleed from the lens mounting due to the mounting method. Something to note is in the US the remote comes with the remote as standard. It does not include the remote for the UK due to the lithium ion battery. There are lots of teleprompter options out there for more money that are no where near as good as this.

Super lightweight and easy to use, I use it with a Sony ZV-1 and adapter for the lens rings. The remote is fine but the app is pretty awful. However the actual teleprompter is seriously good. Use Nanoprompter instead for the app. Combine this with a smallrig arm and clamp and you've basically got a portable studio.

I needed a teleprompter to help with my instructional videos, as stopping every few lines to consult my tablet was really inefficient. After 15-20 mins of working out how to create my own DIY rig, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. Having done some more research, it was gonna look like I would have to cough up at least £160 for a 1/2 decent teleprompter. Then I found this. I was won over initially because it didn't require being mounted onto something large, which I would probably knock as I walked past. Plus it was a cheaper alternative for something I'd never tried before. The packaging looks and feels good. I was impressed with the amount of rings that came with it that are used to mount the box to the camera lens. I found one that worked perfect with my stock Canon 700D lense. All the rings are made from metal, and the box is made from plastic, which is a little disappointing but I guess it saves on both cost and weight. I wasn't sure how well I could read the text from the size of a mobile, but it's fine from about 2-3m away. Besides, you don't really need the text to be on a wide screen, because then you end up looking away from the lens. Once attached to the camera the whole thing is quite sturdy, but you can knock it our alignment it you're not careful. For my first teleprompter, I think this is fantastic.

Fantastic product. I have another teleprompter which I used up until now but this is so portable and easy to set up I couldn't recommend it more

Great teleprompter for the price, a little small so the talent needs to be close to the camera and cant control the screen remotely that I know of so you just set it and let it rolling.

OMG, what an amazing product, my vlogging skills have now gone through the roof, no more ummms or arrrs or awkward silences. Make sure you buy the MK2 as I have with this one

The system works okay and easy to install but when shooting the screen text can be seen crawling up. It’s pointless for professional use.

Used this for productions I do for my company and it allowed me to show scripts for interviews on the lens for the talent to not have to memorize it. Due to the size, it is unobtrusive but is a bit small for talent who are aging or have eye issues, but it is very cool as it's size makes it not possible to see the talent reading left to right. If your talent is younger or your somewhat close to them during production... this thing is great and the software for your phone (which you need to make this work) is free to download and is packed with features. I bought the additional remote and it is great too! I have recently upgraded to full size production teleprompter but this I will keep for smaller shoots.

Lorsque je l'ai acheté c'était super, même si ouvrir le clapet et y glisser le téléphone en même temps est compliqué tout seul (car le clapet est très serré). Mais au bout de quelques mois, le prompteur a commencé à pencher, ça doit être le matériau: plastique: pas très solide...Dommage...
