Big soup of chaos e random names
The book starts very well describing in a nice way the goddess and all the backgrounds but after few pages the author start in a trip merging words and combining a lot of theories that loose the focus of the beginning...then from a book to Hecate become more a Hindu book of reaching Nirvana...Maybe it’s the author personal way of reaching Hecate but I just see a desperate search of the Goddess using all the “knowledge” the Author found just to reach a chaos where is not the Goddess herself, it’s a soup full of everything and full of nothing. Just my personal opinion, I like the first pages but not interesting the person who presented the book instead writing about the Goddess was writing about his skills and works for fill it’s Ego...childish. Ok, bye.

I waited way to long to read this book! I purchased in March of 2025. I just started reading it Jan 1st 2026. It is bringing in so much needed clarity. If you want answers to why we are here read this book. Also, I have a hard time really understanding things I read but not this book. It follows and is easy to understand.

This book is wonderful for the cosmological and mythological form of Hekate. 1) Hekate is the magna mater of a complete triadic religion (Chaldean Oracles address this cosmogony... and really the Prime (Had) and the Son (Hadad) are the concepts of thought and then reality. Hekate is the intermediary that births thoughts into creation... "if she wills it." There is a whole concept of why Hekate was necessary to have Zeus take power over his father, as Hekate's will stood up to all things, including the Gods in possible scholarly articles. Hekate, transcends cultures and geographial regions overall... and the author uses the known scholarly information in addressing all things. Now as far as the concept of this being "overly" Christianized... 2) Hekate was thought of as Saviour anthropologically. 3) She was one of the few across Greece, Rome, Middle East, Africa, that challenged the Christ child concept as savior. 4) Christian ideology stamped her out during the Catholic Church’s genesis. The Chaldean Oracles really had a format very similar to the concepts of Unpresentable God (Higher), Intermediary God, and (Lower) Physical Reality... within this concept it is not far fetched for the author to draw a parallel into "all other Gods" being a reflection of Hekate's grandness. That is what I have found as a believer and worshiper in Hekate that all of creation is of Her. Wonderful book. Now if you are a person that is polytheistic in the eclectic sense, then this is not a piece of work that would probably be appreciated. All is of Hekate. Also, the author, like many other devotees... most likely had or still has an affiliation with the CoH. This is wonderful avenue for finding what resources to look into for deepening understanding of the scope and magnitude of Hekate. Hekate is a principle God(dess) among angels, daimons, and all of Creation.

Étrange mélange de philosophie. On s’y perd et ça n’apporte rien, juste une vision trop personelle pour mériter un livre
