Enables DTS to Sonos Arc from Panasonic 4k
I purchased the HD fury Arcana for one reason - to enable my Sonos Arc to play downmoxed DTS from my Panasonic 820 4k player and display on my LG G1 tv. This is quite an expensive solution, however I was getting very frustrated with my DTS audio 4k discs only playing in 2.0 stereo on the Sonos as LG tvs no longer allow DTS pass through. While the Sonos won’t support full DTS master audio, it will at least downmix it to standard DTS which is better than 2.0. I can also confirm that when using an ears or arc capable tv, the tv ARC will still send down mixed audio to the arcana and through to Sonos. In order to get the best benefit, I have used a UGreen 8k 5 port hdmi switch to connect my 4k blu ray player and Apple TV to the arcana. Which means I can now get the full audio through to the Sonos. I have so far not experienced any lip sync or drop out issues. I also have a ps5, but have this connected to the tv direct and the arc allows surround 5.1 to be passed through the arcana to the Sonos. This is because the arcana will not support VRR (I believe the Arcana 2 will). I can live with standard 5.1 for gaming! Picture quality to rough out is exceptional and I can’t notice any difference. I had to fiddle with settings a bit to ensure Dolby Vision displayed properly. Also worth noting - my G1 has 3 usb outputs. I use only one as the power for the arcana. This currently seems to work and also means the arcana will power cycle with the tv I believe. Be aware that usb puts on tvs are generally underpowered, so I don’t plug any thing else in the spareness to ensure all power routes to the arcana. Failing this solution, the arcana does come with a usb power plug if required. This isn’t the solution for most people I’m sure, and certainly not cheap, but for me it works well.

HD fury strikes again! (feat SONOS).
I have used a hdfury vertex in the past before Sonos finally added support for DTS to the playbar, it was necessary to use the vertex with my Sony TV otherwise I would get silence when playing something with a DTS audio track. I have a Philips Picomax projector, and in order to get sound to my Sonos beams, I have to use a dummy audio cable to silence the internal speaker on the projector, and I then use the arcana in “beam” mode which is fed from a NVIDIA shield, the HDMI output goes to the projector and the ARC output from the arcana goes to the beam, the arcana presents itself as a ARC “TV” and the beam then plays the audio! Perfect! No problems for my gen 1 beam. One thing you must do is that if you change audio settings on your source, then you should cycle the audio on all the parts of the system (in my case I restart the shield and the beam) so that everybody gets to negotiate what sound formats are available, if I change any audio settings on the shield I restart both thr shield and the beam EVERY TIME. If you don’t do this, you might start fiddling with audio and then find that you’re getting stereo PCM output when playing something you know everything in thr chain can play correctly. Been there, got the t shirt many times over, so now I just restart everything and I don’t have any issues. The arcana is working absolutely spot on for me, I can’t comment on its eARC abilities since I don’t have eARC, but its ability to appear as an ARC TV to the beam now means I get great sound on the projector. It’s not a cheap device (although much cheaper than the other vertex) but without it my sound options are much more limited since I then have to use optical audio which severely limits the supported formats. If you’re looking to use this with a Sonos beam, I can recommended it.

Definitely not Plug and Play
Was advised that this product would enable me to split the audio signal to a SONOS ARC soundbar and the video to a 4k projector. For a start some detailed instructions in understandable English might help. The information on the display is of no help. Most importantly it doesn't give a stable consistent output to either the Soundbar or the projector. Will try a bit longer to get it to work but currently thinking is that it will be returned as not fit for purpose.

It works
Finally a way to get dolby atmos back from my fire cube3 to sound bar after it stoped. Now have full atmos and video is brighter and more colourful a very worth wile product that dose what it says and so simple to use.

Expensive but does the job
I bought this to replace an HDMI 2.1 120hz with optical extraction switch I know this item is very expensive however I have wasted around £200 getting to this stage 4k 120hz gaming works flawlessly with my monitor and also using the earc feature into my Sonos soundbar. I have been using this switch for around 6 months and haven’t yet found one fault. For anyone like myself looking at buying this switch and seeing others online at ¼ of the price stating the same figures on paper, I would say save your money and take the plunge on HDfury. I have honestly used 3 switches before buying this one.

These are excellent...when they work
I have several items made by HDFury and they are great but for some reason, I went through several of these where HDMI 0 failed. I've had one for years thats not missed a beat and an integral that has been equally reliable but needed one for another projector. It worked great out of the box but within weeks one of the outputs failed (connected device not even recognised), the same happened with the replacement. Tech support from manufacturer was great and informed me there had been some defective units. The third has been working perfectly for months using exactly the same setup so confirms it was the units at fault. If I hadn't had the defective ones, it would have been another 5 star as the units are brilliant but when they are behind av units and a chore to remove, needless to say I was less than impressed by the reliability

Best thing it can happen to your home theatre setup
The device literally just works. Long term issues on my setup got immediately sort it out when this device have been installed. It’s an investment but I can’t recommend it more!

Si quieres Downscaler o Upscaler no tendras VRR.

Incredibile!

Finally my Sonos Arc is playing the formats that it should be! My TV is a Samsung projector (which has eARC but Samsung’s pass through ability just isn’t there) now has no audio duties going through it and straight to the Arc! Nintendo switch works fine and the sonos app is showing LPCM like it should! No more stereo, so nice! Plus my Apple TV 4K is now playing LPCM 5.1 on shows that are not in Dolby Atmos. Thank you HDFURY! When setting up, like mentioned on other reviews, read the manual while setting up. While it’s surprisingly straight forward I was nervous about setting this thing up. Definitely know I’m not using the vrroom to its full potential but it’s doing what I want it to do.
