Amazing bleach
I had a build up of box dyes on my hair I needed to remove, I had few red box dyes and blacks build up and the red kept showing up even after the black so was time to just strip it , after using the highlighting kit My hair had turned a loverly orange copper shade which was expected with the months of build up of box dyes and with me having natural black hair. I got this highlighting kit as I wanted to start lifting the colours and my hair with out doing a full head so it wasn’t as damaging and more blended as I lift I and I can’t do foils good as I can’t see the back of my head so the cap helped me make it more even and so I didn’t miss spots. I put the highlight cap on pulled my hair threw every holes and plasters it onto the ends and mid lengths and brushed it threw, then I put it near the top at random bits near the cap but not at every root part as I wanted it blended into my roots for growing out and brushed it threw again, to make a dragged roots/balage effect as my roots are virgin hair and I didn’t want yellow roots and orange mid and ends and it’s turned out loverly, I even got creative and done money peices with the left over but I had it on for 40 mins my hair felt good and didn’t do any damage to my hair, I could of left it on a lot longer and redone it as it was lifting really well, but I loved the orange look and was stripped enough for me for now so washed it off, I am now looking for a toner that is a similar shade as I love it so much and it’s saved me a fortune at the salon

Impressed but had to use foils instead
Was nervous to try this as my hair is so dark naturally and it has just gone bright orange/yellow in the past when lightening so only left on around 30mins and was quite happy with the result. Picture of hair colour before and after.

Summery Natural Look 👍
So I'm pretty impressed. I was so worried this would go wrong but, it didn't! I'll outline negatives then positives... Its important....Firstly, the cap provided is hideous. It rips and you can bring through too much hair in some areas due to this. The holes rip as its hard to pull through the plastic and cap. So basically, the cap is lined with a plastic layer on the inside. It's really hard to use. I'd buy a silicone cap that's built for this. The brush provided is flimsy and small. We ditched it in the end and smothered the mix on wearing gloves provided. One other person to help out with the back would be handy (pulling hair through and smothering dye evenly) It's hard otherwise, to do on your own.My hair is half way down my back & thick, so I used two boxes, which was perfect. I also timed 15 mins and checked, left it for an extra 10mins and happy with the results.I pulled my hair out the cap and immediately washed it with the shampoo provided, however, I then used a toner (purple shampoo) for better results. I deeply conditioned my hair (they don't provide conditioner) and then dried it. My hair was soft and just looked fantastic. Also the highlights are pretty much close to the root, which makes me think, this will last a long time.My hair looks wonderful and natural! So very happy!I did watch a guide on you tube for this dye / highlight kit, which I encourage you to watch before you buy! This isn't pain free, the pulling of hair can be sore.. Ouchies!Based on the above, I would absolutely recommend this! I think someone with shorter hair won't have issues with the cap, however, I still think that a better cap provided should be imperative!Brilliant, natural, summery look... Get yourself a box or two!

Really pleased with the colour 😊
This is a great pack! I didn't use the cap as I had a highlight cap. And I did leave it on the full 90 minute but my hair soft not dry and most importantly not brassy. Very please as this would cost £100 in a salon! 10 out of 10.

Tread Lightly
This product definitely gets the job done- it's just a matter of how skilled you are. I've used it in the past to touch up highlights and had success but this time around I kind of regret using it! I'll start by saying my hair is quite dark naturally, between level 5 and 6, and often pulls quite brassy even at the salon. My hair was salon highlighted six months ago and had about 3 inches of regrowth so I decided I'd diy a touch up instead of dealing with going to a salon. I read reviews saying to buy a silicone cap which I think is where I went wrong. When I used this product in the past and had success, I used the cap it came with and I believe I pulled through every other hole on the cap. From what I can remember the results were subtle and nice. This time was a bit of a mess. I wanted a more full highlight touch up but ended up with just a ton of highlights on the top of my head and nowhere else. Not sure why because I was really thorough pulling strands through each of the holes on the silicone cap. My theory is that happened because I have a ton of hair and just couldn't really get to the lower sections of my hair. The 40 vol. developer works SUPER quick so beware! You could easily damage your hair with that strength. Like I said my hair is thick and usually takes a while to develop but it was soooo fast with this product that I didn't even have time to put it on all of my hair before it started getting lighter than I wanted. I had to be super quick placing the rest of the mixture and I think that also caused a less than perfect look.Overall, I think if you're just looking to do really subtle babylights, have a naturally lighter hair colour, or are super experienced with diy hair projects then you would probably find success with this product! Personally though I don't think it'd be worth the stress to try it again!
