Systane Ultra Inactive ingredients: Aminomethyl propanol, boric acid, hydroxypropyl guar,POLYQUAD® (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% preservative,potassium chloride, purified water, sodium chloride, sorbitol. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH. I got this by googling what ingredients in Systane eye drops....tells you all the different types. Hope this helps

Hi, would you please tell me what is the expiry date of systane gel drops because I want to buy 4 but I need to know if they will be use-able

i usually have 3-4 bottles on the go at the same time as I have to use them every 1-2 hours. I believe that once open they last about 3 months. I now get these prescribed from my GP/consultant. But systane is an excellent product. I am trying the nighttime gel with Ultra during the day but don't like it as much as the gel. Good luck

Can you use this gel with contact lenses

I don’t wear contact lenses but wouldn’t have thought so as it’s a gel and blurs your vision for a little while after instilling them. I just use them for overnight.

What is the expiry once opened? 3 / 6 months?

I don't think I have the instructions handy to check and it doesn't say on the bottle. Typically I use up my drops within 3 months.The gel drops are thicker than the Systane Balance drops and useful when eyes are particularly tired and dry. I tend to combine the two and my Balance drops get used up within about 8 weeks as they're used more often.
