Nite Ize KMT-01-R3 Doohic Key Tool, Black

Made of one piece of metal, I really like this little gadget. It won't bend or anything - it's really strong for what it is. It's inexpensive, yet very useful. It does well in comparisons with similar products at 3 times the price and more. I get the most use out of it as a pry bar and a bottle opener. I've never used the wrench but nice to know it's there, I suppose. I have mine on my keychain, along with a Victorinox Classic SD, and between the two tools I can get so much done. Just bear in mind, it's really small, so don't be disappointed. That's the beauty of it - it will stay on your keychain and you won't even notice it, but you'll be reaching for it daily.

Good quality and easy to use

Not particularly hefty but certainly haven't had any issues so far, it's been on my keys about 2 months now and seems good and strong. The end is possibly the most useful part as it is the perfect shape for opening packages.

Simple tool, tough material and very handy. I’ve had one of these for a year plus. It’s always clipped to my keys. I have used it quite often. More than any other pocket tool due to it being cheap… so no concern it might get damaged or lost. That said mine takes a beating, but it’s so sturdy it will last years….and did I mention small! It’s not going to replace a full on multi tool but you won’t know it’s there until you need it. And because is so easy to carry, when you need it it’s there.

I bought this as I wanted a bottle opener on my keys to stop me using a key (as I broke my key once doing this) and as I like to have things do more than one thing this fitted the bill I used it on a recent flight to pry out the in flight entertainment controller as the last user had managed to wedge it in too tightly to be removed by hand. UPDATE: This has come in handy on a second flight when the seat recline button was jammed on a recent flight. It's so handy to have just sitting there on my keys. It's also opened a good few beers. I've not tried it as a box opener yet, or as a wrench

I saw this and immediately wanted one! However after wearing it on my belt for a couple of months I was dismayed to realise how thin and non-durable the anodised black coating was as it wore away against the cloth of my trousers quite excessively. Generally i was afraid to use the bottle opener too much for fear that in it's clunkiness and ill-fitting design I'd wear it away. In short, the greatest pleasure i've gotten from having this was in giving it to a friend in response to the way his face lit up (as mine once had done), upon seeing it for the first time. A lovely idea, unfortunately poorly implemented. Oh, the clip held up surprisingly well whilst it was still in my possession though.

A 'Doohickey' is apparently a small piece of kit that you can't quite remember the name or function of, and this is a well made little key-ring tool in black coated stainless steel that you can clip on and forget you are carrying it. Large flat blade that is really too big for any but the largest slot-head screws or machine bolts, but is ideal for digging and levering, and has enough of a bevel on the lower edge that it makes a great parcel tape/box-cutter so you don't have to gum up your favourite penknife with sticky tape residue. The bottle opener is situated close to the front of the tool so you can exert reasonable force with minimal effort. The top edge has an inch scale etched on one side and a cm scale on the other which I suppose may come in handy one day, and the inside of the loop has three (marked) cut outs for dealing with smaller bolts. Easy to clip on and off a keyring, belt loop or pack with the sprung clip, and this is a handy little tool that isn't much bigger than a key itself and is perfectly safe to carry in your pocket. The black coating seems pretty resilient too and hasn't scratched even being kept on a ring with keys

Good little tool. Size and weight of regular set of keys and is attached to my keyring via the carabiner spring lock and is easily attached / detached for usage. As with all my other EDC's I've tested this for both strength and utilities and they all work well - as I expected. The multi tool is light and made of hardened steel and also has a 40mm ruler on the other side which cant be see on the pictures.

Ottimo materiale e dimensioni contenute, grazie alle quali è possibile portare il moschettone multi tool, attaccato al mazzo di chiavi, facilmente al passante dei jeans o attaccato allo zaino. Ho apprezzato molto il numero di tool "nascosti" all'interno della sua forma caratteristica, che ne valorizza tutta la versatilità e praticità per gli amanti dell'EDC come me. Unica cosa: avrei preferito che la punta che taglia, all'estremità del moschettone, fosse un po' più affilata. Così da renderla più pratica e adatta ai tagli più decisi su materiali resistenti, come cartone, nastro adesivo e altro. Nel complesso molto soddisfatto, consiglio fortemente l'acquisto visto l'elevato rapporto qualità-prezzo.

Como llavero está muy bien, es más pequeño que como aparece en la foto pero está muy bien ya que no abulta demasiado en el bolsillo, como llavero es genial y como destornillador plano, abrecajas y otros usos para salir del paso está genial. Es robusta y aguanta bastante. El gancho que tiene es de buena calidad y después de varios meses sigue como el primer día.

I bought this tool mainly because I saw a video about these types of keychain accessories. I honestly didn't need it but it was a few bucks so why not? After receiving it and adding to my keychain I have discovered just how awesome this little tool can be. It weighs virtually nothing, has a sturdy carbiner gate, smooth black coating and no sharp edges. Having a pry tool with a thin wedge leading to a wider wedge that doesn't gouge the item you're prying on like a knife or screwdriver would is fantastic. I've used it on the heavier pop-top lids on food cans, plastic panels on my laptop, opening a beer :) I have not used the wrench section and I doubt I ever will. I took it on a recent flight without any security issues. Some of the pocket tools I've seen probably wouldn't get through because they have sharp edges or scary pointy can openers. I'm probably going to order a couple more of these Doohickeys.
