Excellent, if used and stored properly
First impressions, looked a little more robust in amazon pictures. Its recommended/ designed for key ring storage, but i would be cautious. A key wedged in seat belt cutter, sitting on it with keys attached, banged around in glove box and I'm sure you could break it. I would recommend periodic inspection. Overall I don't question its functionality whilst in good condition and without repeated use. Tested on a notebook (paper inside), puts a hole in first few sheets and the dent shows up quite deep into the pad. Also purchased the Resqhammer, the resqme fits nicely into the handle and functions whilst inserted. This provides you with 2 seat belt cutters and two ways of breaking a window. The hammer is made from a nylon plastic which is much more robust.

Great product, small but a life saver
I think this is a product that everyone should have. Has a get chain so you can put it on your keys or a zip tie to attach it to the inside of your car. Small and compact design

A definite must in any car.
Purchased as I have this un-nerving fear of not being able to free myself from a sinking car after plunging off a bridge...obviously thankfully I've not had an opportunity to use mine yet! However its of pretty good quality. Plastic appears well made and because my partner decided to place his finger over the black part and push to 'test' how sharp the window smasher is...I can confirm it's pretty sharp! I trust this will do the job if I ever need it. My only issue is I can't decide where I want to hang it in the car. Stupid me go the bright orange one (so I can see it in a wreck)...but this doesn't lend itself very aesthetically to my car interior. It's currently on my car keys as a bulky keyring. A definite must in any car!

Compact and essential for EV owners
As an EV owner, having a reliable way to quickly exit the car in an emergency is a must, and the Resqme Car Escape Tool provides exactly that. It’s compact, lightweight, and easy to use, making it an essential addition to your car’s safety kit. The design is simple but effective, ensuring peace of mind should the unexpected occur. I highly recommend this tool to anyone, especially EV owners, who want a practical and portable solution for emergency situations.

Very compact and simple to use.
Takes up very little space and has a child resistant clip over the very sharp blade. I tested device on a ceramic tile and surprisingly it cracked so should work on tempered glass. It comes with a key ring to attach to your car key, no use on keyless ignition, and a mini cable tie. Having been in a vehicle that rolled and experienced the near impossibility of pushing your entire body weight up with one arm to ease tension on the belt and try to release near locked solid buckle with the other I regard this sort of device as a must. I have had other makes but they are are all large and very difficult to locate in a sensible position in a modern car, so finally finding a compact device is great. The most important thing is that the device is accessible for driver and passenger no matter which way up the vehicle is which is why the maker sells a separate useful fixing kit which should really be included with the device. I bought two devices and two accessory kits and attached one to each sunvisor. While waiting delivery of the accessory kit I temporarily used the keyring with a loop of 1.5mm shock cord and placed it over the automatic gear selector which works quite well. After recent storms, floods, falling trees it makes sense.

It works
I got to test this on a load of old windows I took out. It works brilliantly. I have no doubt it would break a car window in an emergency. A great bit of kit to have on your car keys

A handy tool.
Long lasting equipment, this is my second one after my first eventually cracked apart. Although never having had to use them in anger, it's good to know that I've got this little bit of kit in my pocket at work, or my own vehicle. The blade looks up to standard for its job. And I have tested the punch on a piece of cork occasionally, so it's not damaged, and the other surface isn't either. Easy for anyone to use from a pensioner, to a young child.

Decent Escape Tool
It's almost impossible to review this in full unless you find some glass to break and an old seat belt that you can cut up. But the tool looks and feels ok and was a good value twin pack. So the review is based solely on that.

This tool is a must have for emergencies. It could save a life. The Resqme is reasonably priced and all car owners and passengers (adults only, never children) should keep one handy. Attach it to your keychain or just hang it on your RVM.

This is our fourth rescue hammer. We have one in each car plus a couple extras in our 15 passenger van due to the length. This model is far and away my favorite. It looks nice in the car, noticeable in an emergency but not garish like the bright orange ones. Unlike older models that snap into a black plastic tray larger than the hammer itself this one clips onto an unobtrusive holder. The design is much easier to hold than the standard orange hammers. Not only is the grip larger it keeps your hand in place more securely with a piece of plastic that would also serve as knuckle protection should a situation arise where a window needs to be broken. This updated version maintains the seat belt cutting feature. I've had a chance to try it out on an expired car seat that we wanted to make unusable prior to putting out at the curb. It cut the belts more easily than I expected. The belt cutter is really just a bit of razor blade recessed in a groove to keep it away from your fingers. It is possible to get to it so it's not something to attach next to a child's seat but it's still very safe to handle.
