Get set for wild action and sizzling chemistry with Knight and Day . Big screen superstars Tom Cruise (mission impossible, tropic thunder) and Cameron Diaz (charlies angels, something about mary) come together in this thrilling action-adventure. When June meets a mysterious stranger on a routine flight, she thinks she's met the man who’ll add some excitement to her life. But she soon discovers he's a fugitive super-spy, who thrusts her into a globe trotting cat-and-mouse chase. As the bullets and sparks fly, June must decide if she can really trust this Knight in shining armour. Review: Good film - Quick service Review: Best latter-day Tom Cruise film - Sheer joyous fun. Tom Cruise plays Millar, a rogue agent holding stolen tech. He uses Cameron Dia's character to sneak it onto a plane. She gets caught up in his plan and he spends most of the rest of the film protecting her from the bad guys. Hence, a believable premise for a number of thrilling and often hilarious action sequences. Tom plays Millar with just the right amount of crazy, humour and cool. Cameron Diaz, as June, also shows her range as a sometimes dippy, feisty, independent single woman, in awe of Millar and hanging on for dear life. The action sequences do not disappoint and I found their tongue-in-cheek style reminiscent of the set-pieces from Jackie Chan films. The blu-ray comes with a choice for watching either the theatrical version or a special extended cut (7 minutes longer) which extends the film and the enjoyment. The extended cut not only adds more to June's back-story (she is restoring her late father's classic car), it improves some of the action sequences. There are a number of extras on the blu-ray including a music video and some trailers/viral videos. The main feature has subtitles in ten European languages including Portuguese. I truly believe that this film will stand the test of time as a classic comedy/action film.

Great fun, ignore the holes in the plot and enjoy!
I agree with the majority of other reviewers - this is a fun film that doesn't leave the watcher feeling like they've been put through a wringer or in fear of their lives. I watched it first at the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it - the entire cinema was laughing and gasping etc. The plot is daft, but manages to take itself seriously enough to be quite a good spoof of the over-the-top spy genre. I don't like what I read about Tom Cruise's personal life and beliefs, but he is a damn good actor and plays this sort of role effortlessly - he is a rogue (not rouge, other reviewer, that means 'red' in French!) secret agent, saving the world from the deployment of a piece of technology that would be devastating in anyone's hands. He uses Diaz's character as a 'mule' and ends up having to protect her from the baddies who are pursuing him. She, of course, hasn't a clue what's going on, which leads to some very funny scenes. This is a real 'feel good' film that I would unreservedly recommend for a night in with a bottle of wine and a convivial companion. Don't attempt to show it to someone with no sense of humour or a film critic.

Heard it wasn't good - but it is!
I heard negative opinions all over the place about this movie. But I love action comedies and I've always been a big Tom Cruise fan. He and Cameron Diaz made this movie one of my all-time favourites. Their chemistry and comic-timing are fantastic, especially Cruise sending up his action-hero persona without hamming it up. Their characters' growing affection for each other makes the story interesting as Diaz becomes Cruise's initially unwilling then rightful partner. The parts of the story where Diaz is either drugged or incapacitated did get on my nerves a little but karma wins out in the climax of the story where Cruise gets his comeuppance for this and his safety rests in Diaz's hands. The straight-forward story left nothing confused - the play-on-words title is a touching nod to the true identity of Cruise's character, which is nicely played during the final chapter of the film. A movie definitely worth seeing and I, for one, will be getting this on DVD as soon as it is released.

Must see action packed some comedy film
Love this film, action packed barely stops for a breath. Probably Cameron Diaz's and Tom Cruise's best film together yet. A film about Simon Cruises best friend who invents the answer to humanity's energy problems , Tom cruises character whom has left his company to go rogue in order to protect his best friend and his creation getting into the wrong hands and is being chased by bad people. Unfortunately Diaz's character gets caught up in this action pact hunt/ adventure to find and protect Simon when she boards a plane which crashes. I won't tell you more as it will spoil the film for you. If your a fan of Diaz or Cruise you will love, love this film. !

Knight and Day
A very enjoyable film, Cruise plays a Jason Bourne type secret agent, with Diaz the girl he meets at the airport, and their adventures after Cruise is declared 'rogue' by a renegade fellow agent. Played straight by the stars, the film is never the less a parody of the bourne films, a sequence near the start of the film on a aeroplane , where Diaz pops to the toilet to 'freshen up' and by the time she comes out, Cruise has killed everyone else -including the pilots, sets the tone for the rest of the film. all in all, nearly two hours of escapism, to while away a wet afternoon.

Not bad
A few spoilers. This movie felt like a live action cartoon in places, as if Tom was trying to be Ethan Hunt when doing stunts but without the drama or suspense, Tom goes from one crazy situation after the next but it's as if he's rolling his eyes with something he could do in his sleep. The bad guys chasing after a ✌device✌ which in this case is a battery which never runs out of power (I know) & some humour which felt a bit forced, what I watched was an okay but nothing special action/thriller comedy with a lead character played by Tom who seems more or less invincible. The ending however was copied in Mission Impossible 6, both had Tom's characters ending up in a hospital bed in critical condition. While it made a change to watch a movie which was how movies used to be before the wokeness, we are talking 2010 here, it's unlikely I'll be watching this one again anytime soon, I thought The Tourist, which was also released in 2010 was a better movie. I can't give this one 4/5, so I chose 3 instead though this one is about 3 & 1/2 out of 5.
