I loved this book.
Whilst you don’t have to have read Unhinged Cain to enjoy this book I would recommend it as it really helps you to learn about Abel and his brother. This book is twisted and the opening chapter features torture scenes so check your trigger warnings as Abel is a killer and pretty twisted in some of the things he does .However I will say I loved this book and I’m not sure how the author managed it but as messed up and twisted as he is I still found myself swooning for Abel and thinking awww at the end. His growth was amazing and it was lovely to see the strong protective loving side of him as we learn about the extent he will go to for the ones he loves, how he equates love with cookies and then his affinity with rescue dogs.Seriously. Read this book.

Mind blown
I just don't have the words to describe the awesomeness of this book. Fair warning the trigger warnings are out the Wahzoo with this one but they are somehow so delicious while being terriblely disturbing.I lived the characters and I adored the story and I read it all in like six hours (never been so glad for a sick day!)I can't recommend this enough. If you like your villains insane, dark and truly don't know if you'll survive? Abel is the man for you!

be aware this is extremely graphic
Abel didn’t exactly endear himself to me in the previous book so with my many preconceptions I was intrigued to see if he could manage to pull it together enough to make me like him even a smidgin. To be fair this was absolutely bloody mental Abel is certifiable loco but so incredibly unique his many eccentricities and demented sense of fun made me smile despite his murderous tendencies. The contrast between psychopathic killer and wisecracking comedian was extreme Abel’s mood changes as swiftly as the weather. He’s unpredictable totally unhinged and definitely insane and despite all of his evil deeds I still couldn’t help liking him. His logic only makes sense to him and this logic is at times incredibly childlike.Again be aware this is extremely graphic and the villain doesn’t have some major redemption here Abel is just Abel and Aspen eventually accepts him for exactly who he is a cold-blooded not quite sane monster. To everyone else he’s totally deranged and dangerous but for Aspen, he becomes her unlikely hero.Again imagine all of the triggers and this story throws them all out there for you. It was an easy well-written page-turner and it’s certainly unique. It bravely goes where other books fear to tread and I think it’s the contrast between the horror and humour here that made this mainly work. it distracted from the intensity of Abel’s actions making you unexpectedly laugh out loud and introducing a certain levity to the scene.I definitely think Aspen’s unique past has moulded her into accepting the train wreck that is Abel. But I also genuinely think he gets her and it was so incredibly amusing to witness Abel in sheer denial and having to then backtrack with his brother and Kirby. Finally, what the hell was that bonkers poem at the end of this OMG I laughed it was just so wrong that I couldn’t help myself Ode to a B In a box is morbid black comedy at its finest and I’m British so Im so there for all of that. This duet is for all those that adore a good old psycho romance this is definitely not for the easily offended though it has some extreme triggers and plenty of questionable content you’ve been warned.

Part two of the twisted Buchanan brothers.....
This is part two of The Buchanan Brothers duet and I highly recommend reading Unhinged Cain first! But before you do either, please stop a minute... This book, this duet is pure twisted - I don't know what other word to use, so please, PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, don't read it if you're easily offended! Or even if you're not so easily offended because this will mess with you, you will question the author - I know I did, but then I also questioned myself because I couldn't stop reading them 🤣Anyway! Back to Abel....Abel and Cain are identical twins, they're messed up in the head with absolutely no morals. If they want to destroy a person - yes, a person - they will. End off.Although they're identical looks-ways and moral-ways, they're personalities are opposites!Cain is very formal, whereas Abel is chaotic, loves singing and dancing, cookies, glitter and has the attention span of a goldfish, easily distracted and slightly childlike in a sociopathic way 😘The characters - as much as I didn't want to, I really liked them and Abel has a wicked sense of humour, the one-liners that he rattled off where so good.Aspen was a sweetheart who had it tough, is trying to look out for herself, has no brain-to-mouth filter and I honestly likes her!I'm not sure what to say about the storyline, it's nuts, it had me glued to my screen and it had me wondering why I liked it so much.

Dark!
Let’s start by saying Twisted Abel is different to what I normally read. This is a book where you have to throw all your notes out the window to appreciate that although it’s a dark read the humour Abel displays is on point.Recommend for lovers a serial killer dark reads.
