BLACK+DECKER 27Wh Pet Dustbuster Hand Vacuum with Smart Tech sensors

We don't have pets, but when we were looking for a small, handheld vacuum I wanted something more solid and functional than a standard dust buster-type one. This was a little pricier than we originally wanted to spend, but when I saw 'pets' on it, I knew it was the right one. No more lugging the upright up and down the stairs. This is an amazing little machine and does an amazing job cleaning edges, stairs, sills, etc.

Excellent product. Very powerful, great at picking up pet hair (but not the best, say compared to the Bissell Pet hair eraser). A major benefit is the Lithium batteries which don't have memory effect and never lose charge. Charging cradle takes up a bit of space but it is elegant and great and holding/storing the vacuum when not in use. I wish it had a narrower nozzle to pick up dust in hard to reach spaces but it's not a real bummer. Would highly recommend to anyone with a pet.

I purchased this recently after having what is probably a typical experience of most new owners of robot vacuum cleaners - they seem great at first until you discover all the bits they can't reach/miss entirely. So I was after something that was small to store away but simple to grab and use for impromptu spot cleans. Add pet ownership into the mix and this model seemed to fit the bill well.First impressions are pretty good with the build being that compromise between rigidity and light weight. The extra brush bar just slides on the front and takes power from the main unit - it really does make all the difference for covering wider areas like stair treads. Operation is dead simple as there's only one button that cycles between standard, turbo and off. There are additional lights that tell you if the cylinder is full and also display the charging status (three steps).The issues I have are:The charging cradle is too lightweight and has a habit of toppling over - I'd certainly recommend against trying to charge with the brush bar attached as it is too top heavy.There is no tool storage (either on the vacuum or the charging station) which can make keeping everything together tricky.The brush bar is surprisingly good at dislodging hair ingrained in the carpet. However, depending on the texture of the carpet it often then does a rubbish job at actually picking it up (leading to an odd method where you use the brush bar to loosen the hair before disconnecting it and using the standard wand to pick stuff up).Overall a good unit (with much better suction than some similar ones I have tried) but certainly not perfect.

Bought this in addition to our pet hair vaccum, for when we just need to do our setters quickly, and possibly odd little bits on the floor, without having to drag out the vaccum lift away.Lightweight and great suction. Has a boost mode, as well as indicators for low battery and filter clean required

I did not use it everyday, and I only used it lightly only for the purpose of sucking my cats hairs. It was working great during the last 14 months until it suddenly stopped working today! Nothing happen when I try to charge it as it the LED charging light doesnt come on! I don't know, but does this product last only 14 months then I have to replace it? Not recommended.

Very good hoover for the price, the pet brush work as described from most surfaces, fills up quick as it quite small.. but it can be a life saver, suction power is stronger if it senses more fur and dirt around and automatically ( although could be changed manually) changed to stronger suction, it eats more power but it also is more efficient, the reason why I give only 4 stars is because the battery life is not very long 20-25 mins depending on suction power and other factors, and than we have to wait for about another 9 hours for it to charge again.Pros:-easy to clean fur-sensors identify increase in fur and dirt and switched to higher suction power-easy to get to small spaces with it-lightweight-good designCons:-Low battery life-long time to recharge-have to clean it often as it is very smallNew update to the review... it stopped charging within one year.. so the price is not right with this lifetime..

Warning: Cheaply-made pet addon! It broke during the first use. It's plasticky and made up of literally a small motor and some rubber flaps. Not worth the extra money spent over buying a simple Black+Decker dustbuster. For the few minutes that it did work, it did a decent job at removing my cat's fluff from the sofa.The rest of the vacuum though is decently made and has really strong suction. Without the pet addon, it's not at all good at removing pet hairs from furniture, even if you use the bristle addon. The charging stand is compact and easy to use.

Ordered and returned a Dyson V6 - this is a far superior product. Great for stairs, sofas and small spills. Took a long time to fully charge but it is compavt and unobstrusive so easy to store too. Easy to empty, easy to clean out the dust bin too. Brilliant product, very happy. extendible nozzle for hard to reach areas too.
