Better than regular salt
Brings out flavor in an amazing way. Try it with corn on the cob; it;s terrific!

Thi sis perfect on steak!
I have had this now for a few years and only use it on steak and I have to say it works so well! The flavor it brings is like nothing I have ever used and will be buying this for the rest of my life!

Tastes like the sea
If you are expecting this salt to taste like seaweed you will probably be disappointed. Personally, I was hoping it would taste more like kelp. BUT I am not disappointed because it tastes like the sea. It tastes like when I was a child and would swim in the Pacific ocean, that taste of the sea on my skin. It’s a subtle difference between this seaweed salt and a good unrefined sea salt, but it’s a noticeable and pleasant difference. Do you want to taste the sea? This is your trip to the sea.

Lovely flavor. Fine texture.
I am very pleased with this salt, which I use to season Asian recipes. It is exactly as advertised with a slight kelpie taste and the texture is quite fine. The color is a gray like a sandy beach in Okinawa. This would not be a finishing salt. I’m using it to do the actual seasoning of the dish.

Wrong item sent
I'm giving it five stars only because I've ordered the salt in the past and it is good salt. I'm not sure why I was sent by K-pop. hoodie.

Interesting, but not what I expected
This is a fine grain salt, so is very salty on the tongue compared to kosher salt. I expected a more mineral or vegetal flavor being that it is harvested from seaweed. The flavor is good. No off notes.Works great on any item you would use fine salt on.

Wonderful salt from Japan
I ordered this salt based upon the Netflix show "Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat" with Samrin Nosrat. This salt is made in a timeless way. Because its harvested from dehydrating seaweed, I expected it to be briny, but it had a great smoky flavor. It was a fun experiment, and we enjoyed it so much, we bought a bag for my sister and brother in law. When I run out, I will be sure to buy this again.

Wow, wow, wow.
Got this after seeing it in a documentary on food.It is well worth the hype and the price. Would definitely not using this in cooking, but only as a finishing salt on good food.If comes out with a very slight brown tint to it, but is still aesthetically appealing. My wife was raised vegetarian and is now pescatarian and love the umami flavors it adds.Buy knowing that the extra cost will be well worth it. A terrific finishing salt for any gourmet meal.
