Flexcut Slipstrop Sharpening Kit with Strop and Gold Polishing Compound

Great sharpening tool for keeping blades sharp during use. Easy to use. The different shapes on the block were almost perfect in shape/ size for the lino cutting tools I have. It kept my blades sharp and cutting well as long as I used it often

As someone who partakes in a wide variety of crafts, I know the importance of keeping blades sharp. This product is incredibly versatile, with a variety of grooves for a variety of shapes. I have had this for close to a year now and it has lasted incredibly. I doubt it will lose any sort of function over the next coming years. Once this one is done, I will be certainly buying another.

I found this good for polishing my small wood carving tools however they need to be honed and already Sharp this product is for the final finish and can be used to touch up your edge whilst carving really quite handy . If only different grade stones were available with the same profiles it would make a nice little sharpening system .

Product does what I wanted it to do. Easy and effective to use.

Excellent speed of delivery. ( under 24 hours!) Only received yesterday so not able to give a detailed review as yet , but I have tried using the slipstrop and it seems to sharpen the tools well and with practice I think it will be very useful for my Lino printing 👍

Just what was needed to hone different angle tools.

I bought this on the advice of an experienced wood carver and I am not disappointed with my purchase. The different shaped wood pieces are particularly useful for getting at the insides of my chisels. The leather parts work very well. The sharpening compound provided is also very good and should last a long time. I am very happy with the slipstrop and have made good use of it to date.

Not really worth the money. its OK product if you have spare quid, but just try to get some leather and make the grooves yourself with the chissels and gauges for the same effect.

If you have Flexcut knives/carving tools this is an absolute must. A minute or so using this product before or after using your tools each time dramatically alters their cutting ability. I’m deducting one star as I feel this essential is a little overpriced for what it is.
