Sizzix Thinlits Die Set 41PK Alphanumeric Emporium by Tim Holtz, 666282, Multi-Colour

I initially purchased these thinking I’d be able to easily fill in the open spaces of the letters with different colored paper to get a multi colored letter effect-unfortunately that wasn’t possible. That space was small than I thought and the lines connecting the letters together is very thin and hard to hide another piece of paper behind without it showing on the other side. I’m new to using thinlets and found a ‘big shot’ on Craigslist for free-prior to using dies I would hand cut paper but that would often end in frustration. So having the die cutter has kind of put the excitement back in to my paper projects I want to try. With this set specifically I thought I could use the letters to spell out ‘Thank You’ or ‘Happy Birthday’ on cards. My first use was making a birthday card using the technique I mentioned in the beginning which didn’t go well. I haven’t gotten the letters out again since. But they work well and hopefully I’ll feel inspired to do something with them soon.

Like the size of these letters and the outline produced so it's like 2 in 1. Here I glued them to the cardstock and the embossed the whole thing.

I like these so much that I bought 2 of them.
