Men's Dubliner Jacket

Style is good not very long in the body but fits well. Tested in heavy rain and very pleased to say it kept me dry for over 2hrs. Hood well fitted and high collar helps keep cold off your neck. A good commute or daily jacket.

I've been looking for an affordable Dubliner for a while. I used to work for the RNLI as a paid fundraiser, and this was the jacket we were issued with. We worked outside throughout the year, in all weathers. It remained watertight even in the worst downpours, but it's not insulated - so you need to layer up to stay warm. I used to wear a L, which was fine in summer but a little snug with a fleece underneath in winter (I'm short and stocky W36 C44). To that end, I decided to buy the XXL to enable me to wear a decent insulation layer underneath it. I could have got away with an XL, but I went for an XXL (it's good to have the luxury of a bit of extra room). The quality is still there. Excellent waterproofing. Quality zips and poppers. The stowable hood is great (there is a technique required to repack it neatly - it takes a bit of trial and error). There is a zipped interior pocket to keep your mobile dry (essential). The adjustable cuffs are good. The HH branding is subtle and tasteful. Just a brilliant jacket all-round (and very popular with RNLI staff!) I'm pleased to have been able to buy one in black for a fair price - just bear in mind it's not terribly warm on its own - it is, in essence, a waterproof shell. There is an insulated version (which is also excellent), but I wanted four-season flexibility. This jacket gives me that.

I have no complaints about comfort, workmanship, or weight. The walks that I have been on were excellent with this jacket; in the heat it isn't immediately insufferable and when the temp drops the jacket is insulating. However, the feature I noticed most was the wind insulation of the material. The effect was instant and I went from cold from the suddenly gusting wind to perfectly comfortable once it was put back on. Its as comfortable as any jacket to sit on if you take a break during the walk so nothing special there. The issues were 1.) the Jacket zips had a tendency to stick, although they did not break it should be mentioned, and 2.) the size was just right after ordering one size larger. I did this after reading similar reviews recommending this and they were correct. So if you're a medium like me, go for a large. Disclaimer, I can't praise or chastise the rain resistance and how well it beads off water since unfortunately its been great weather with no showers even. I hope it stands up well and if not, I will edit the review accordingly.

Good quality light jacket water proof nice colour range.its not a tight fit plenty room in the sleeves. warm and it's not heavy.

This is a great jacket , originally bought size L but it was a bit tight i sent it back and got XL , the fit is perfect i can wear a sweatshirt underneath . It is fully breathable and works well in showery conditions .

The middle zip part is not waterproof . Disappointing .

For me, all it took was a mild walk to build sweat on inside of jacket. Otherwise for standing around outside it was OK

Beautiful jacket, warm waterproof but not bulky. It's a ' thought about jacket ' it's my second one, they last for years...very pleased, it was bought on a Black Friday deal for an incredible price. It will go into stock as the first one is still going...even at €170.00 retail it's great value, the tailored fit is nice...highly recommended for an all rounder, lightweight, warm and waterproof jacket
