This thing is simply brilliant. Even if you are only doing a little bit of grinding then you will find this really helpful as all the little bits that were sparks are actually sharp bits of metal. Using this means that I can do work in the garden and the. Clean up perfectly and they ground is safe for my dogs to walk across with no cut paws.

The title says it all really. Makes clearing out the grooves on the drill table VERY easy, compared to using a small brush. It's now my favourite tool when it comes to drilling metal. It is strong enough to pick up a 3lb hammer, so be carefull around a bank card, it'll erase the magnetic strip in one. The swarf falls off cleanly too, so no need to rub it off with your hand afterwards and get swarf stuck in you. I highly recommend this magnetic tool if you creat a lot of metal swarf in your job.

Great product to pick up fillings and little metal pieces. I have used around the mill which can be a bit tricky much easier to brush onto a non metallic surface like wood or concrete and then collect it all up easily.

Not a sexy tool and one I didn't know existed but now I wouldn't be without it. I bought this to pick up swarf on my lathe and mill just point it at it and the magnet picks it up then over the waste bin and pull the lever and it falls off. So much easier then getting swarf stuck into you fingers when you try to pick it up. Also the number of times I have dropped a box of screws onto the floor amongst the sawdust and then you get to spend a while trying to find them on your knees. Now I just grab my magic wand and poke it into the pile, give at a shake to dislodge most of the sawdust then drop them into a box on the bench with a pull of the handle.

I was going to make one of these as there are a number of build videos on YouTube. However at the modest price this was on sale for it wasn't worth it. This is a really useful tool for clearing up around the drill press, lathe or milling machine. Clearing chips from the lathe can be a messy and awkward job, but this tool easily reaches down between the ways and into the chip tray. The swarf quickly drops off the wand when the plunger is pulled. Wish I'd had one of these years ago.
