Franke Aveta 1.0 Bowl Stone Grey Tectonite Reversible Kitchen Sink & Waste Kit

Lighter than expected but I like that. I was concerned that the rough surface might be tricky to clean but it's tough and comes up a treat. It doesn't include the pipework though so you need to purchase that separately. (You need the Franke Plumbing Kit siphon kit for 1 bowl sink).I like the big bowl and smaller than usual drainer - perfect for our utility room

I received the sink fine but it arrived with screws all over. They had come out of the packaging within the box. The sink itself had a lot of rough edges on the reverse which crumbled to touch. It also had areas where it appeared sections had fallen away. These areas too eroded at the touch. I contacted the retailer and sent photos. They tried to convince me it was all fine and these were marks as a result of the sink being released from the mould at point of manufacture. They said that Franke had been contacted by them directly and that Franke had confirmed to them that these narks and eroding sections would not affect the sink's integrity. I didn't believe them and I contacted Franke directly myself and sent photos. Franke replied that this was not what they deem acceptable and told me to return the sink to the retailer because they (Franke) could not assure me of its integrity.An unbelievable situation.Now, shiptitappliances wanted to initially charge me to send back this faulty product by courier and with insurance ans tracking. A granite composite sink is not light and the costs for such a return when the issues raised were through no fault of my own, was unacceptable. I had to quite literally adopt a curt and at times, aggressive, tone dealing with these people. I also had to get Amazon involved because after having been lied to, I didn't trust that my refund would be processed. In the end, the retailer sent a courier but even that process was stressfuk and not without constant chasing and enquiring on my part. The item was collected and the refund processed.

Absolutely love this sink! Gorgeous colour, so easy to keep clean and lovely deep, large bowl! Even the overflow bit in the sink has a nice design!Oh, and there's some kind of sanitiser unit attached to the plughole underneath, which I'm guessing is to neutralise any smells coming up?! Can't fault it at all! Highly recommended!

Nice sink unit. Looks very smart and extremely robust. Makes a nice change to stainless steel and as ever good quality from Franke and came with a well made stainless steel plug unit. A good price too. Would reccomend.

Great product, it is not smooth but I like it. A very large bowl, therefore the drainer is slightly smaller. Simple to assemble, drilling a hole required the purchase of a suitable hole saw. It looks very nice in the kitchen. Thank you.
