⚡ Power Up Your Monitoring Game!
The Current Sensing Relay AC Current Sensing Switch (N30) is a highly efficient device designed for precise monitoring of AC current ranging from 0.2 to 30A. With a rapid response time of ≤200ms and a self-powered design, it ensures reliable operation without the need for external power. Ideal for applications such as motor overload protection and automatic control systems, this relay is equipped with a user-friendly LED indicator for easy status monitoring.

Works well
The media could not be loaded. Worked well for my needs, to turn one appliance off when another turned on. Be careful with the amperage, can only handle .3 amps on the terminals, needs to be used in conjunction with a contactor.

Does not sense LEDs (half phase)
The product works fine. You just need to know that a load of only LEDs will not trigger the switch.

Useless product. Contacts open at all times regardless of current.
I tried both the 30A and 50A normally-closed relays (NC30 & NC50), and both had relay contacts that never changed state. They just stayed open whether the current threshold had been met or not. Even when disconnected, even straight out of the box, the contact were open on the normally-closed relays. The LED lights would come on when current passed through, but the relay didn't change. So if you want a pretty light that comes on, hey great, but if you need relay action look at some other product.

Nice external relay
I call this a relay because it acts like one. Really it is a sensor. I have this in my RV. The cooling fins for the refrigerator do not get enough ventilation in the summer and the it takes a long time for the fridge to cool. I wanted a way to turn on a ventilation fan that would be automatic when the refrigerator was turned on. This does the trick. I split the 110v line, cut off end off and ran one wire through this sensor. I put a replacement plug on the wire and plugged it back in. I then ran one wire of my fan through the sensor. Simply connecting one end to one screw and the other end to the other screw and plugged the fan in to the 110v outlet. Now when the refrigerator is turned on the fan comes on and provides additional air circulation to help the refrigerator cool down more quickly and run more efficiently. This comes either normally closed or normally open. It also come in different amp ratings. Not very expensive and does what it says it is supposed to do.

Compact device but missing info and small wire gauge compatibility.
The included manual gives specs on the two models. But not sure if the specs are off? For the 200A model, the aperture is only 10mm wide, but for the 50A it's 20mm listed. Why is the lower rated model have a larger aperture for the detected wire? The adjustment screw has NO info on it or its setting or range. Nothing. At all, even in the documentation. The line/load screws are also a bit small, but fine if using a relay in your setup. If not and using it to directly control a load, the max AWG looks to be about 16AWG, if that, which is quite small depending on the load you want to control. Some hits and misses with this device.

Self powered, closes contact when set point sensed, not clear of where setting is though.
I tested this with a space heater, only one wire can pass through this sensor though otherwise they will cancel out and it will never work. I tried different heater settings and turning the adjustment screw and it seemed to work well.If I could change one thing though it would be nice to have some documentation as to how many turns is say 1 amp, send it from the factory set to like minimum, and then specify something like one turn is equal to one amp or some ratio. The way it is now you kind of have to use trial and error to figure out where your set point is.I believe this uses a relay to close the contacts, in my opinion, it would be nicer to spend a little more on something that has the option of both normaly open or closed contacts. This may add another terminal or two, and a relay to di both is not that much different.
