FRANKE 113515300 Tap Brace, Red Grey

I recently had a new tap and sink fitted. However, the tap is quite heavy, and the sink is made of fairly thin stainless steel. As a result, the tap was very wobbly. By using this tap brace I soon fixed my tap wobbles and it is now rock solid. A very good purchase.

Works well although a bit fiddly to fit. Its best to take the sink out if possile and fit the brace losely prior to replacing the sink. However, you still end up lying under the sink to complete the fitting.

I know this brace works - I've used a few of them over the years. This time however, it wasn't compatible with the sink and base unit. It relies on attaching to the worktop, and my "oversize" sink meant no worktop was accessible (without cutting out a big chunk of the back of the base unit. It's still a good piece of kit, just not suitable for every situation. I managed to cobble together my own brace: I just hope nobody goes looking under the sink because, although it works, it looks like a dog's dinner!

Although the product design was as described on the website, it was pretty difficult to fit. This is not the fault of the supplier, but of the manufacturer. The design of the product would be fine if it is to be fitted with plenty of space (and access) around it. However, the design fails to take very much account of the normal location where it would be fitted - behind and underneath a sink unit, amongst water supply pipes and waste pipes. In addition, the amount of "slack" in the fitting, prior to final tightening, is very poor and makes it very difficult to assemble the unit onto the supply pipes before it is all tightened up. I am able to suggest at least two different designs which would make the fitting very simple in such a confined space. I am so concerned at how long it took to fit that I am considering designing and marketing a competing product!!!

This is a brilliant bit of kit. On the pack in German it is advised to be used for all Franke heavy taps, in the translation it only advised the use on stainless steel sinks. The latest Franke taps are so top heavy I think it is best to be safe thatn sorry and fit this useful accessory to keep the tap fitted firmly. Easy to fit, not cheap but worth it, I think it should come as standard with heavy taps!

Having gone to the hassal of delaying fitting the sink to order this up and then fit it the outcome is very disappointing.This is a Farke Product Recommended in a Farke Tap which was supplied with flexi connectors, and it does not work...save yourself the agro and buy a solid sink or a smaller (traditional) mixer tap.

The Franke Secure Kitchen Tap Brace is fantastic, We purchased it as added stability when fitting our new tap which was slightly heavier than the old one. It does exactly as the image shows, and attached to the underside of the work surface with an adhesive pad and screws.It is easy to fit, strong once in place, and I am sure that it will give the added support the tap system now for a very long time.It arrived quickly and was well packaged.Overall would definitely recommend to anyone considering fitting a new tap or sink unit and prefer a bit of added stability.

so two stars. I have just bought a Franke tap and one of their better stainless sinks. The former is too stiff and the latter is too flimsy.This bracket does not work if you have flexible fittings. However, for me the plastic retainer (the red bit) is the wrong way around and should have the open end ( the clamping end) towards the tap bolt. If you look at the photograph and this is identical to what I was confronted with, the final clamp squeezes on the solid end of the "the red bit" whereas the other end towards the worktop is open and clampable.Honestly, a load of rubbish.

Die Lieferung erfolgte schnell und problemlos.Die Armaturenverstärkung macht durchaus Sinn bei hohen Armaturen beim Einbau in Edelstahlspülen, da diese sonst zu sehr nachgeben beim bedienen.Die Montage ist problemlos für alle handwerklich begabten zu schaffen.Ich kann die Armaturenverstärkung voll und ganz weiter empfohlen.

Obligatoire pour éviter qu'un robinet lourd ne penche ou fasse travailler un evier inox. Très satisfait de cet achat qui devrait systématiquement être vendu avec l'évier.

This product is wonderful for supporting a commercial kitchen faucet on a metal sink. I believe this product ships from England and I got it quick enough. Easy to install and very strong product. I just installed it on my Fapully commercial sink, I was skeptical because the brace looks cheap but its not...works great, if you have a unstable kitchen faucet then try this product.
