Q: the pictures show a usb 3.0 on the end of the reader, is this the correct picture, or is it actually a usb 3.1 (usb-c) connector?

It is a blue USB 3.0 connector ie. Standard-A Full size connector, same size as and backwardly compatible with USB 2.0.

Q: Does anyone know if this will fit with the Atomos caddy?

No idea what an Atmos caddy is. These cables are intended to work with a bare drive on the desk
