I take this speaker outside with me all the time; I simply connect via Bluetooth and enjoy my music. The wheels and handle make it super convenient to pull along wherever I go. I haven’t had to recharge the battery since I first got it, so it lasts a long time. It even comes with a microphone if you feel like singing along. This speaker is user-friendly and delivers impressive sound quality—I absolutely love it! When I unboxed it, a piece of plastic fell out, which initially concerned me. It turned out that the battery compartment had a broken piece, and the battery was jostled hard enough to damage the door, causing that plastic piece to fall out. As a result, the battery door doesn’t close tightly, but the speaker still functions perfectly fine. I’m not deducting any stars for that broken piece since I believe it happened during shipping. Overall, this speaker is fantastic, and I highly recommend it, especially considering the great price compared to others that offer half the sound quality!

I paired this speaker with my phone and the sound was amazing. The control panel on the top is easy to use. The power button is located with the large volume dial. The lcd screen displays the volume level as well as FM, BT or aux mode, as well as the bass level. I can select from 3 bass level to choose from. The 9 different led light modes can be selected using the button in the top. The lights can be turned on/off while the speaker is being used, but they can also be used independently when nothing is connected to the speaker. On the back there is the DC power in jack, an aux jack, USB A 5v for charging external devices like my phone and a large mic port. There is also a separate mix volume control on the back as well. I like the fact that it can sit both vertically and horizontally. There are non-slip pads so that it sits securely no matter if it’s sitting upright or in its side. When on its side, the speaker angles upward so that music isn’t aimed at your feet. Underneath there a cavity at the bottom that’s intended for a 35mm standard speaker tripod. The cavity has a rubber plug to cover the hole if not using a tripod. A really cool feature is that you can sync multiple speakers together for a party by first connecting to Bluetooth on a single speaker then double pressing the Bluetooth / chain link icon button which is the name of the mode: PtOn party on and Ptof for party off. Then I can turn on multiple speakers and press party on mode and it connects to the first! I think this is this is the best function on this speaker! 🔊

Received Shockwave speakers in good condition. Overall good sound, light weight and Party Mode is a very nice feature. I do wish it had Equalizer, the bass boost selection is very minor and doesn't make much difference. Setting up the Party Mode is sometimes a bit difficult as the double tap doesn't always put the speakers into party mode. Party Mode does work with AUX, but the slave speaker must be in bluetooth mode, not AUX. The instructions do not make it very clear on this point. Reasons for 4 stars not 5: I do feel the speakers are a bit quiet for 180watt RMS, and one of my speakers emits a buzzing noise when plugged in during music playback. The buzzing goes away when the plug is removed and running on battery. The other speaker does not buzz when plugged in.

First off I would like to say I have looked at all the reviews on Amazon and YouTube on this product. I tend to agree with everybody on Amazon that it is a great speaker and I disagree with the videos on YouTube that say it is not a good speaker. I have been listening to music for over 45 years I have an excellent year for sound and I produce my own music. I purchased one of these so that I can do some entertaining outside of the house these are 180 watts you can pair up to 100 of these and remember it has three base settings. As far as sound goes it has great highs and pretty good base not the best base out there but pretty good base when you first use the speaker you need to put it on setting one turn it up listen to it for a while next you will put it on base setting 2 turn it up listen to it for a while after that put it on base setting 3 turn it up and listen to it for a while if you listen on setting one you will probably get 12 hours if you put it on setting two you will probably get 6 hours if you put it on setting three you will probably get 4 hours at high volume. This is a must buy for somebody that just needs portable sound that sounds decent it's not awesome it's not out of the spectrum it's a great speaker for the price and I do recommend it.

I haven't gotten to hear the speaker yet, as it came with no power cord and was not charged, so I'll have to revisit this review when I see if everything works and how it sounds. Not only did it not have a power cord, but no paperwork came with the unit, either. No warranty card, no instructions, no manufacturer information, nothing. So first impression is not so great. Will let you know how it sounds after I go buy a cord and charge it up. **Update** The speaker was faulty. It wouldn't charge or turn on. I had a feeling from the way it was boxed, with no cord or paperwork included, that something was up. Sure enough, I was right. Returned and am currently waiting on a refund. Buyer beware. I will give an update on the return process. Hoping I don't have further issues with that.

This would probably be a 5 star review if it wasn't for one HUGE issue. When you power up this speaker, it has a verbal announcement welcoming you to Altec Lansing. This announcement plays at full volume regardless of where you have the volume controls. Everything else about this speaker is a great value. It has clear sound and the mic works well. For the love of God, please find a way to disable that start-up announcement!!!
