Fits Like Glove
Bought this for my wife's camera as she damaged her last one putting it in her handbag. The basic requirements were to fit the camera - yup, perfect, and to be small enough to not soak up room in a bag. This covers both needs ideally. The reason my wife didn't use a camera case was simply they tend to be rather bulky but this is close fitting and therefore ideal for a small to medium sized handbag.Other than that it is well made, reasonably priced and protects the camera properly. It's also easy to open up and get access to the said camera so isn't likely to be general nuisance.Overall if you have a Panasonic Lumix then this should be the next purchase if you want to keep it from being damaged.

Backwards compatible for some models
I had bought a cheap Chinese case for my Lumix and of course I was punished by the belt loop ripping away within weeks. So this time I thought I'd buy a branded version, gambling that Panasonic wouldn't put their name on rubbish. This is surprisingly well-made and I have no complaints. The flap has a magnetic close, not velcro or a popper. The belt loop will take up to about a 4cm wide belt. The case is semi-rigid but holds the camera horizontal so it can be on your belt at your side or front and not "dig in" to you when you sit down. Importantly - I have a DMC-TZ20 (the "historic" Lumix body shape) and the camera fits fine, facing forward in the case. However, I believe the latest Lumix models have a different shape body so check before you buy.

Lumix Leather case
I had to buy a new Lumix due to leaving a brand new TZ18 on a plane from Ireland.(needless to say it was not handed in to the Irish carrier). Panasonic DMW-PHH13XEK Leather Case for LUMIX TZ Models I needed the camera, case and card. I saw this case and thought lets take a chance. It arrived very quickly from the vendor and is a genuine Panasonicaccessory for those of us who prefer a 'Name' Its a very good quality caseand costs well over TWENTY Pounds in one of our largest stores in the UK.So, my advice is, price compare before you buy. I did and I believe I have got a greatbargain. Sure it doesn't have a space for extras but it offers protection for the cameraand cards can be kept in a pocket.

Review for LUMIX TZ Models case
I bought the TZ30 very recently (mid March) and had some doubt as to whether this case would be suitable as I don't think the description says explicitly whether it will accommodate the camera. For those wondering, it does. The exterior of the case, I would guess is real leather, it has the smell. It feels soft and nice to hold but is not flimsy and will offer some protection against knocks, I wouldn't recommend dropping it as a test though as although the case is rigid on the bottom corners (and to a lesser degree the sides) and it isn't padded so won't prevent shock damage. The flap that closes the case is held by a magnetic clasp (looks like a popper but isn't as secure) it's quite resistant to pulling apart but I wouldn't rely on it staying closed in a major jolt - dropping it perhaps. Maybe this is why Panasonic have included a loop on the side to put the strap of the camera through. Its fairly low-profile but you'd need pretty big pockets to keep it in there. As an alternative to more bulky (and presumably more protective cases its perfectly fine). The belt loop on the back is hardly the most useful addition unless you tend to wear narrow belts. Having measured, it's 35mm from the top to the point at which it is attached to the case itself. The interior is brushed cotton, or something similar so its soft and wont mark the case or viewing screen. The camera is snug inside and doesn't rattle to any great degree so there is no room for spare batteries. Personally I wouldn't let that put you off as carrying such a small item can hardly be considered a burden (pockets anyone?). You could if you wanted put a memory card in there but with modern cards you'll run out of power before you run out of space.I've measured as best I can the dimensions of the case as follows:The compartment in which the camera sits is 125mm wide (outside edge to outside edge) 40mm deep and 60mm high (bottom to the top as you look at it). With the lid closed I measured about 80mm high, that was without squashing the lid down and 60mm deep.I suppose I should clarify why I've given this 4 stars and not 5. Its hard not to give it 5 but in all honesty if I did, it says to me 'its perfect' which it isn't, its very good. its well made and good quality. It could do with a little more padding but that's a minor qualm. I suppose it 'could' be made of a slightly more rigid material but I'd be picking holes. Bottom line is for £15, its a great case. Chances are you've spent a couple of hundred pounds on a camera you don't want the case to fall apart and not have anything to put it in.

It's a case!
There are lots of generic cases available for small digital cameras. Many are much cheaper than this one. However the quality is excellent and, because it is made by Panasonic, fits the specified range of cameras like a glove (some of their models tend to have one or more slightly larger dimensions to fit most generic cases). It has a nice substantial feel to it and is obviously well made.Overall a premium product at a premium price with a premium performance. The original has proved so good that I've bought another one for my new TZ8. It is also suitable for the TZ9 and TZ10 amongst others.

a bit of a letdown
Panasonic .what are you doing ?? I have always been a fan for 40 years .hifi /personal stereos /camcorders and technics separate s{still have them over 20 years old and work fine [I have just replaced my camera to a tz35 AND ITS FANTASTIC I got the one with the extra battery {TIP as Panasonic dont include a stand alone charger so you have to charge the camera with the battery in situ !! this means you carnt use the camera ..even if you have a spare battery !!so get yourself a stand alone charger amazon sell them for around 10 pounds and they are excellent } this case is good quality but no strap and no place to put an extra battery or a SD card ..good quality but you can get better for less cash ..shop around and remember you may need a bit of extra space ,
