Flaky connection, loud hum/feedback
Originally I reviewed this product at one star, this was because when we were not playing music over them and the equipment was in standby, we were getting a loud hum and could not get rid of it.So I returned them to Amazon and left a review reflecting my experiences.A day or so later Avantree support contacted me to ask why I had done this. After a brief exchange of mail, they offered to send another pair free of charge for me to test.I agreed to this but stated that my review would be honest and factual and would be supported with video evidence on my You tube channel. They agreed to these terms and the deal was struck…So here is my review. Please google my name on You tube and you will find a comprehensive video review to support this one. Unfortunately Amazon wont allow me to insert a link. DONT FORGET TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!The replacements arrived promptly and the package contents were as described. Initial charging took 10 minutes for one module and 20 for the other. When switched on the devices paired within seconds and a “connected” message player through the speaker. On initial testing I had problems with volume on the units, the volume was wayyyyy lower than with the music player directly attached to the speaker. The fault turned out to be with a dodgy cable that I was using and was not fault of Avantree. So if you have that sort of issue try a different cable. The ones supplied worked just fine. The music played just fine, volume was good, so was the quality and they are comparable with other blue tooth systems similar in nature. The music played for almost 7 hours before the TX module ran out of juice and they disconnected. During playback there was no loss in volume or audio quality throughout the entire 7 hours, (yes I videoed the whole thing….) The instructions state that the modules would flash a red LED when running low on power, this did not happen during my tests, they simply ran out of power and disconnected. You can use these units whilst connected to a wall charger or external battery pack, should you get any hum on the speaker its likely that the power supply is dirty, try a different one. If this doent work, contact Avantree support and they will sort the issue for you.I tested these over a distance of 40M and they remained paired without loss of audio quality also the claims of low latency is accurate. I used them as wireless microphone transmitter/receiver and lips remained synced even at 40M. The units also paired when switched on at this distance! All testing was clear line of sightRecharging from totally flat took 1 hour 34 mins. The instructions are in good English and in a print size that a 53 year old can read! All in all a good value product.

Excellent, works almost faultlessly.
Arrived nexr day, very efficient service.Charged as described and tested with a couple of devices as well as TV. Works well, no obvious degradation of sound. Time delay almost un-noticable. Listening with the sound on the TV as well as through headphones it is possible to hear a delay, but turn off the TV speakers and the delay is slight and not really noticeable, lip sync seems to be OK certainly acceptable. I am not a gamer so cannot comment on the effect of any delay there. They are very small and light, only addition I would like is a loop hole for a tether but so light they will hang from the audio lead.

Very good
Took a while to work out how to pair them and then they kept losing connection - or so I thought. Turns out a quick press of the power button mutes the audio. Once I'd worked that out (the instructions are minimal), I love them. Battery lasts a long time, they're very, very light, good range and the delay is almost zero.

Yes, it works for playing electrical musical instruments to a sound system where no delay is critical
The most important feature for me when purchasing a Bluetooth kit was the low-latency (no lip sync issues) - it was for playing an acoustic piano with an additional electric output, over a surround sound system. If there's any delay it makes it unplayable; the sound is almost a full second behind your fingers and your brain can't cope. Hard-wiring wasn't an option. I did a lot of research beforehand, and this absolutely does the job - the 'aptX low latency' really makes a difference and isn't just a marketing gimmick.I tried just using the transmitter, and linking it straight to my sound system's Bluetooth, but there was still a noticeable delay (my sound system isn't aptX). But using the receiver as well - transmitter in the piano, receiver in the back of the sound system - it brought the delay right down. Unless your receiving device is certified aptX low latency, you do need to buy the pair. There's still a tiny delay (32ms, according to the box) but this is unavoidable on a wireless connection. But it's small enough that your brain will compensate, and after a few bars, I stopped noticing it at all and it felt perfectly in sync. Really pleased to have found a neat solution to my problem.

Both worked fine as receivers (RX mode) using my iPod as the ...
I bought a pair of Saturn Pro Bluetooth devices. These were mainly for use with my TV and non-Bluetooth Bose headphones.I used an Audiomate AM8112 Digital Audio Adaptor (2.4) without problems for two years until it died. With the two Saturns I found that the sound cut out during quieter passages. After extensive testing, with speech and music, I established that this occurred with both of the Saturn Pros in transmitter (TX) mode. Both worked fine as receivers (RX mode) using my iPod as the Bluetooth transmitter. The music I was using for testing was the first section of “Fair Rosamund” on Murmurs CD (Andy Cutting & Nancy Kerr Martin Simpson).I emailed Avantree with the problem and they confirmed “there is indeed such a problem when it is in TX mode, and that is a technical problem, we are working on it”. They stated “But our priva II, this transmitter will not have such a problem”. They agree to replace one of the Saturn Pros with a Priva II transmitter and gave me a promotion code to order this from Amazon. However, the Priva II transmitter has exactly the same fault as the Saturn Pros in TX mode.So I have returned both the two Saturn Pros (and separately the Priva II) as faulty.
