Don't get this for critical shut off applications. I had two issues: there is so much water that shoots out past the end that it was hitting the float and causing rapid oscillations that took a long time to stop after it would start. There is no adjustment to angle the float down, so I had to bend the rod a bit to try to get the float out of the jet of water. Once that was settled, I noticed on my cistern water level monitor that it had filled a few times to 108%, and once to 114%. Did some additional tests, and this wasn't shutting off all the time even though the pivot and plunger were clean. The nylon round end on the plunger that provides the seal isn't as reliable as a brass valve with a rubber seal. Have now replaced this with a proper plumbing part. Not sure how I avoided a blowout of my cistern lid. I think I just got lucky and my well pump timer shut off before it blew the top off of my cistern and flooded the shed. Hopefully this review saves someone out there a nasty water overflow issue.
