Brilliant BJJ Knee support.
GENUTRAIN Knieband.Gr.5 titan This is a review for the Genutrain Knieband Titan. (posted link above) TL:DR Great for BJJ, had to be careful with sizing guide. Backround: While practising BJJ, I attempted an Uchi-mata (judo throw) I didn't commit enough, my opponent ducked under and took my back then decided to jump on me distributing both of our combined body weights through my knee. End result was lots of popping and me screaming in agony on the floor, turns out I'd torn my medial collateral ligament. fast forward to when I could walk properly, I bought a velcro wrap around knee support, which was ok, but not amazing, as it kept coming down the leg, after reading about this knee support, I decided to try it and I was not disappointed, so much so, I'm going to buy another. Ok, so I had my first roll last night with this on, I'm blue belt at the moment and I was against another blue belt, we were going for it and this knee support stayed on throughout, which really surprised me as it often slides down my leg about an inch after putting it on and walking around, so I'm very pleased with it. When washing it, I used normal non-bio washing powder and some dettol anti-bacterial in-wash solution and it's come out fine, so again, really pleased there too. When buying it, the sizing guide was a bit ambiguous as my calf was within the range of a number 4, and my thigh was in the range of a number 6, so I thought I'd go for the one in the middle and bought a number 5. (I'm 5'9", fairly well built) and a number 5 seems to be spot on, though if I'm honest, I'd prefer it to be a bit tighter on my thigh, and a bit more slack on my calf (yes it is on the right way up, you can't get that wrong as it has a thumb guide to pull it on) anyway, after seeing this come out of the wash ok, I'm going to be getting myself another one, but as the reviews on here are a bit vague for anything BJJ related I thought I'd post for you guys.

Best support for BJJ / grappling / MMA
Best support for BJJ / grappling / MMA. Comfortable, supportive and stays in place for the whole duration of wear I bought this following a meniscus tear and have been wearing it solidly at training over the last 18 months. Starting to wear on the inside now (material is torn internally around the silicon 'O' ring support) but it gets washed 2-3x a week and is holding up way better than any other type of knee support I've owned. Original fit and shape have held true to the first time I wore it and it doesn't seem to hold any gross smells which is usually the case with training gear that has regular use. Most people in my gym who wear one now have this same knee support

Great for active sports such as Brazilian jiu-jitsu
These are comfortable and provide good support and they stay in place whilst grappling (BJJ). Expensive, but worth it.

Fantastic knee support.
Has made a huge difference. Due to years of on going knee injuries which caused severe muscle wasted. The lack of stability in my knee made exercise painful and injury common place. Since using this my knee feels so much stronger I am now able to slowly build up my leg muscles without fear of injury. I have even re started boxing training and am gearing up to returning to kickboxing if all goes well.

Amazing product - I've never had to use a knee brace before, so I did a lot of research and decided on this support brace because it would help me heal faster. Which is exactly what it did. This support brace provided the stability AND comfort while I was in training that I couldn't even tell I had it on. When I took it off after training, my knee felt great and within 2 weeks I am now training without the brace and my knee feels 100%. Thanks Bauerfeind!

Great brace recommended by my orthopedic surgeon. Goes above and beyond the standard knee sleeve. Excellent support, soft and not uncomfortable at all. I've tried many having gone through three knee surgeries. This is by far the best I've ever tried. Great support, physically and mentally.

Made poorly, I wore it 4 times and the rigid side support started ripping through the fabric

I got a total ACL replacement and was looking for a good knee brace to help with BJJ and I really can't recommend this enough. This brace has gotten me through warmups, light rolls, and going hard. My knee feels stable and strong. The brace is so flexible you can really barely tell it's there. The only thing I would recommend is wearing the brace over a pair of leggings or spats as the fabric right on your skin may irritate it a little and it will def get super sweaty which is just uncomfortable. But when I wear it over leggings it's amazing. My physical therapist says this is a great brand and I definitely trust his opinion. Just make sure you measure your knee right! Mine fits perfect.
