Yes, this product is expensive, but it is also really well made. I bought this because I was unhappy with the cheap telescoping pole I bought at wal-mart. I tried to find a product that was better than the $30 poles but less expensive than this one, but I ended up giving up the search because I wasn't confident in the other products. I really wanted to buy something that would last for 20 years and I think this will do it. The extension mechanism works well and provides a solid lock at each indentation. The pole does not flex and yes, is a bit heavier than the cheap telescoping pole I had but it really doesn't affect its useability in my opinion.

I had a hard time on this one. What actually tipped me over was the skimmer net I purchased, was larger and moved through the water with half the effort of the one i had, i received a coupon for my next purchase from the company so I said heck, the net was spectacular, it's got a lifetime warranty and I got this discount, I am "diving" in for the pool pole too. Until I got it, I was thinking if I did the right thing given the price was 3 times more than one I bought from the pool store. BUT, to my surprise, the packaging it came in was SUPERB, the item was in perfect condition, it seriously feels like it's at least 2xs if not more than that, as strong as my other pole, it doesn't have the give, I brushed the pool in a third less time because I wasn't messing with it and it didn't bend or collapse or have any issue. With the warranty, this was an outstanding purchase. SO happy I bought this. It will make maintaining my pool surface, so much easier, efficient, and knowing if something happens to it, I can simply send a video of the issue, and they take care of it, it's great peace of mind. DO it! (you simply push to buttons and it extends or collapses to the desired length, it's doesn't budge after that once locked in place, and I seriously was done with brushing my pool in way less time and I didn't have a single instance of it slipping or time messing with the pole at all. AMAZING.

When I first saw this, I thought "who would pay that much for a pool pole?" About a year later, I answered that question with "me." The pole extends very easily by pressing the two buttons on the collar and locks into position without any twisting and turning of a screw mechanism. I use this with the silt net bottom skimmer and the 16 foot length is necessary to reach the bottom of the high foot deep end. I once over-collapsed the pole and was unable to extend it, but the collar was relatively easy to disassemble, correct the problem, and reassemble. Seeing the inner workings made me admire the engineering design of the lock collar.

I never heard of Pro Tuff but I was tired of the flimsy poles that needed replaced all the time. This pole was a bit more costly than the others but after reading some reviews so decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I've owned this now a few years and this is by far the best pole out there. Extremely sturdy and doesn't flex like all the other poles. I also use it with the round brush to clean the Lani sreens Take the step and buy this pole, you'll be glad you did a few years from now.

This thing is honestly the best pool pole I've ever had. The tubing is nice and thick, and it has some kind of coating that makes it smooth to the touch. The extension mechanism is dead simple to use, and works very well. It doesn't slip, and doesn't feel cheap at all. I'll be surprised if it breaks. The only problem I've had with it so far is some pitting of the metal, but that's entirely user error. My kids leave it submerged in the pool practically 24/7 so the chlorine has gone to work on it somewhat, but even with that abuse, it's holding up amazingly well. I haven't had experience with the replacement guarantee yet, so I can't comment on that part,
