We all know why we wanna think about buying this. We want YSL Y smells on a Five Below budget. So let's talk about it. Like really. Really talk about it. Similarity: 90-99% I sprayed this on one wrist and my sample of YSL Y on the other. My nose, admittedly an untrained, amateur nose, could not tell the difference! This is a phenomenal scent match. Performance: 9/10 Performance on this fragrance is pretty good! It projects from my wrist to my nose, about 3 feet, for a solid 2-4 hours, and then becomes more intimate. I could no longer smell it on me whatsoever after roughly 8 hours. The real deal performs only slightly better, but not so much so that I'd start complaining considering the cost difference, since for the same price I could keep a bottle at home, in my pocket, in my car, in the office, and still have enough left over to get myself and the missus a nice meal at Chipotle. So then I suppose the last question is a simple one. Did *I* like it? No. I'm not really much of a fan of YSL Y it seems! To me it smells like the way coldness feels, it stings the nose a bit. But then why give this product five stars? Because it replicates that perfectly.

Now I get it. After buying the genuine 2017 formulation of YSL Y EDT, I now see the match. I couldn’t for the life of me place it, because it doesn’t smell like EDP, Le Parfum, or any other Y product, including the newer 2022 EDT. This is an 80% match to 2017 Y EDT. If anything the CM smells like an expired or sun baked bottle of Y 2017. There is more wet ginger and slightly more depth overall to the original Y. As it dries the differences become massive. CM becomes very bug-spray-ish while the Y maintains its class and svelteness along with that beautiful ginger and florals. This is still better than the fakes out there. If you truly want YSL, buy the real thing from a trusted vendor. This is ok if you are short on funds but it’s still lacking. My favorite CMs are still the Polo Blue and ADG Profumo clones.

Super awesome knock off. 4 stars only because it wears off quicker than others. Will definitely purchase again though. The scent is fresh and citrusy. Complimented on it quite often.

Ysl Y was new to me before purchasing this bottle, so, I really had no frame of reference before picking it up. Soon after receiving their CM ''Y'' I was able to confirm that the scent was pretty spot on, as I went to a local mall to check out the real deal. It's light, fresh, subtly sweet- in a blue oceanic water kind of way (not overly sweet or sugary sweet at all), great for after the shower, as well as before/after the gym, before heading out to run errands, etc. It's one of those quick grabs, a huge (short-lasting) people pleaser kinda scent. HOWEVER, the longevity is for not - bit of a bummer, but for how good this smells, at its given price point - i just apply liberally and make sure to keep the bottle (or travel size spray bottle) near by and I'm good to go, son!

Very clean and long lasting scent. I have been using this for over two years now and still very happy with it.

I have zero exposure to the original scent, but I enjoy this a lot. In fact, it's become one the favorites in my collection. Warm and woody.

I blind bought this cologne as a stuffer gift for my husband. I dont know what the original smells like however this smells incredible! Its not my husbands usual smell however he loved it as well. He said that this was going to be his new every day scent. Its not overly masculine or musky. Its more of a fresh clean masculine smell.. Like a clean linen type of smell. Not disappointed at all!! He sprayed this and it lasted for probably 5-6 hours which is not bad for a $11 cologne. Ill be buying this again!
