I bought this for our Church to store memorabilia within it. We are about to celebrate our 125th year since our founding and there's a lot of programs and past directories that needed a "good safe home". This worked great. Good quality, opens well, about the right weight.

Perfect size for my daughters senior year keepsake box. 😍

This box is cheaply made. Not worth the money. The hinge broke as soon as I opened it. The lid is held open by a cheap ribbon stapled on each side. It is the worst color brown and smells as if it has just been painted. I could have done a better job making this box. It's going back!

I wanted to gift the Harry Potter hardback book collection I slowly gathered to give to my daughter for Christmas this year. I ordered the natural wood box with the intention of decorating the box myself. The box itself is a little expensive for the quality considering it has a particle board bottom, rough edges, and was cracked. I fixed the crack with wood glue and sanded the edges. I stained with oil based stain in walnut, added a clasp, added felt on the bottom inside, and stenciled her name on the top of the lid and a little quote on the inside of the lid. I kept the original hinges and colored the fabric strap holding the lid up. Everyone couldn’t believe I decorated it myself. And my daughter loved the box and of course the gifts inside. So it worked out really well.

I bought this to house a microscope when not in use. I tricked it out to not only fit the microscope but also the accessories. I put on a handle for picking up and carrying. I attached latches to prevent unintended opening. I stained it chestnut. I didn’t finish it as well as I could have if I spent more time but it’s not a piece of furniture, cabinet, door or molding so it is good enough for me.

It's a box. Seems well made, no issues in the color of it, like no light spots or faded spots.

Arrived broken. The lid was detached from the box. Upon inspection the lid hinges don’t use screws to fasten them to the box or lid. Instead, the flimsy hinges are “spiked” and simply pushed into the wood. This is an incredibly poor design, one that will allow the hinges to detach with very little use. The wood is not smooth and will be a dust collector that doesn’t clean easily. Finally, the “brown” color isn’t really brown at all…more like a dark redwood with a reddish tint. I’m returning the box and looking for something else. It’s definitely NOT work the $99.00 price tag. :(
