Quiet and Quick
Heats up more quietly than the Keurig and possibly quicker. Good quality stainless & takes up little space on the counter compared to the Keurig. Switched to the French Press to get the full flavor of the coffee which steeps for 7 or so minutes after pouring the boiling water over the grounds. All in all, a better way to make the morning Java Man. Time will tell if the heating element will hold up longer than Keurig's typical 3 year service life, but for less than $70 for the two pots combined, I have a far more satisfying cup of coffee.

Does not age well.
This is being written in December, 2020. The product was purchased in Sept. 2018, and has been used daily since delivery. On 12/13/2020 I boiled water to make tea. On lifting the kettle from its cradle the bottom of the handle separated from the body of the water container; at least a quarter of an inch of daylight appearing. I carefully replace the kettle on a work surface, feeling rather lucky that I was not scalded by boiling water. Further examination revealed that much of the plastic handle had become embrittled where it contacted the body of the kettle. This caused the failure of the bottom screw holding the handle in place. I do not reccomend this product on safety grounds.

Water Boils in half the time.
Never having an electric kettle, I wasn't sure which one to purchase. After reading the reviews, I chose the Professional Grade Electric model. My husband and I are both pleased with its performance. We both like French Press coffee pots and hated waiting for the water to boil in a traditional stovetop kettle. It seemed to take forever. Not with this electric kettle. Wow! Water boils in less than half the time. No longer do I have to run accross the house to the kitchen to relieve my ears of the annoying whistle.

No plastic touches the water, but it sure does smell like plastic or something.
This kettle works well, but we've had it for a few days and I've rinsed it with tap water, soap, and baking soda, and it still smells of some kind of chemical that I don't want to ingest. My next attempt will be to wipe the inside with sweet orange oil.

DIED after 1 year
DURABILITY: I purchased this kettle on December 22, 2017, and it stopped working yesterday, January 2, 2019. No issues leading up to it; it just simply stopped working. Upon inspection, I discovered that the heating element burned through the bottom of the pot!!! See attached picturesEASE OF USE: Simple. It comes with two parts: the kettle and the base. Place the kettle on the base, plug it in and turn it on.RECOMMENDATION: Look elsewhere if you're looking to purchase an electric kettle for under $20. See attached pictures

It is a good pot. Just be advised that it is correctly priced.
Got it today. Looks OK, made a cuppa with and it worked. a few things sort of low quality though.the lid which is clad in Stainless by the way has to be opened and closed with a latch on the TOP of it.The others I have had had thumb latches in the handle. Looks like a part prone to fail.Took a bit of doing to get clean, used vinegar/water mix and got the smell out after a couple tries. It is a good pot. Just be advised that it is correctly priced.

If you are very practical and seeking a good price performance one
Based on its price, design and performance, though it's looking is not close to the high pricing ones, I give it 5 stars. (I have bought 5 models. If you are very practical and seeking a good price performance one, this is the best.) Not fancy, works well.Pros: 1. all stainless steel including the lid, 2. quick boiling, 3. reliable power switch, 4. strong handle to hold, 5. lowest priceCons: 1. the surface will be hot when accidentally touched. (Already having a warning label attached.)

Where's the BASE?!
Missing the BASE plate! I know it says "cordless"...but this is ridiculous! The base is what gets plugged into an electrical outlet for it to heat up. Why the heck are they sending me just the kettle?!This was a gift too! It was so embarrassing to have the recipient open the box & wonder "how does this work?" Luckily I was their when she opened the gift. You can tell from the plastic bag that the kettle was wrapped in that it's been "handled" previously. Ugh! I apologized to my friend, whom the gift was for, & immediately asked for it back so as to replace it.Definitely, returning it. Not sure if I want to give the seller another chance & reorder another one.
