Probably the best "hardwiring" kit on the market at present
I picked up an Azdome M550 dash camera set a while back. It works very nicely, but I have to say, having the various cigarette-lighter-powered cables snaking over my dashboard gets annoying. I upgraded the M550 (which, in my case, had the front camera and rear camera but not the interior camera), and also decided I wanted to hardwire it, to get rid of the extra cables and clean up my interior.I knew, of course, that "hardwiring" is not all THAT complicated. It's possible to do it with only some basic wiring skills, but I also recognize that there are issues with potentially making a mistake and screwing up my car's fusebox. So, I decided to go with a preconfigured "kit." As my camera is an Azdome device, I decided to look into the Azdome solution first. And while I looked at quite a few others, this one was the one I decided to go with, for reasons I'll explain.First off, I liked how this device has the ability to connect to different fusebox configurations. This wouldn't be a problem if I knew I'd keep my existing vehicle for the rest of my life, but in case I do replace this car, I want the ability to swap it into a vehicle which might not have the same type of fuses.Second, I like the "piggybacking terminal" solution which allows me to use an existing fusebox slot without removing the functionality of that slot, or putting that through the same fuse as this device uses. when you use this, you get to use one fuse for whatever goes into that slot, and another fuse for whatever you're powering from this hardware kit. That's a nice feature! It does, however, increase the height of the connection, so if your fusebox has a close-fitting cover, this COULD potentially cause a problem with not being able to close the cover. So far, I've never found a fuse box which is that closely fitting, but it's possible! Now, depending on the device you're using, you might want this to be powered off when you turn off your ignition, or to be left powered on even after shutting down the ignition. You'll need to do some homework to figure out which fuse locations in your fusebox are "live" when the car is shut down and which are "off" when the ignition is off. This matters because, for the M550 dashcam, and some others on the market, there is an option to have the camera record if any "impact" is detected... including when the vehicle is parked. This way, if someone hits your car in a parking lot or parking garage, a record of the incident will be recorded. If you're using the camera to do this, you'll need an "always on" circuit.Of course, this is potentially a problem. If the device is "always on," it can potentially drain your car's battery to the point where the car cannot be started, or even to the point where the battery is completely "dead."That's where I think this particular solution really shines. It has a user-selectable threshhold voltage, and if the battery voltage falls below the level you select, it will cease drawing power. The camera will no longer operate, of course, but the vehicle will remain operable. (This is going to be most useful for people who drive daily, but park in a parking garage at work, or in similar situations.) Selection of a cut-off voltage is by DIP switches, and it may take some trial and error to arrive at the specific setting which works best for you, but this feature is a GODSEND... being able to balance out "protection" against "battery drain."I've been using one of these for my Azdome M550 dash cam for some time, and just purchased a second one, which I'm going to use to power my in-car radar detector (which is also powered by standard 5V mini-USB). In that case, I will connect it to an "off when the ignition is off" circuit and won't be using the "auto-cutoff by voltage" setting at all, but I chose to go with another of these because I really like the "useable with different fusebox configurations" option. With this, the only cable I'll have dangling in my car's cabin will be the one powering my smartphone charging holder. Going from three cables to just one, with none hanging in my windshield area? That's a major improvement for my "in car quality of life."(PS - I note several other reviewers mention that this "drains my battery." I'm guessing that they didn't read up on the auto-shut-off feature, and had it set to some cut-off-voltage level which was too low to start their vehicle. Again, I recommend setting it to a higher voltage setting, at first, and experimentally setting it down until you find the optimal setting for your powered device and car's electrical system. If you've done it correctly, you'll never drain down your car battery to an inconvenient level.)

4k
A very good 4K dash cam, recommended by a friend because this is the one he uses in his car. It’s easy to install and simple to operate. The footage recorded by the dash cam is very clear.

A great concept that falls short
Being the average Amazon shopper I bought a similar item on here that was cheaper only to find out it was only constant power and didn't provide the "Parking Mode" support this one does. I promptly return that one and proceed to order this one.Shipping was prompt the packaging was nice and it honestly wasn't all that difficult to install (a quick search engine-fu of "acc fuse model/year" or "constant on fuse model/year" and you're quickly in business).Problems started to happen after about the third night. If the vehicle was left too long without running no matter what it would drain the battery dry. Parking mode be damned, it wanted go juice.(Bonus fun time discovery! If you have wifi enabled on the M550, this hardwire kit does not switch the wifi off leaving it to drain your battery and have you thanking every car God you have a Hulkman.)I installed mine in a 2006 Magnum, nothing else fancy is installed in the vehicle outside of the 3 channel M550. Never had battery issues as it never had any real strain on the system. Giving the hardwire system a fair shot I figured to do a bit of sleuthing and verify whether the year old battery is a dud or maybe I have a loose wire that's tripping something to remain constant on I break the multimeter out and begin testing.Low and behold I find the hardwire kit's constant on, stays on. Acc, even when verified and triple checked, never engages. Sad part is I'm sure the constant depleted drains have taken a toll on the battery as it now struggles to turn on even with the 3 Channel camera disconnected and the hardwire kit removed.Update 5 April:Support was very responsive, however today they noticed the wrong hard wire kit was sent out. It should be the JYX02 Hardwire Kit with the 4 options to switch between, however what was shipped was the JYX02 without. They'll be shipping the correct kit and I will update if it resolved the issue or not.9 AprilWith the Support supplied hardwire kit installed the system works like a dream. It was a long road getting here, but well worth it as now the system integrated with the car seamlessly and no longer is there a significant drain on the battery while not in use.

Well designed!
A bit of technical knowledge is required for this, but if you have it, this wiring harness is well designed and made!
