KendaKwest Tire 16x1.50 100 PSI Wire

This is a quality tire and the size is right! These are getting hard to find. Guess the recumbent fad has fizzled away with our lame-assed economy! I sure am glad that the head negro in DC has done such a great job with his "CHANGE" AND WRECKED OUR ECONOMY AND TANKED OUR DOLLAR! THANKS A LOT BARRY!!!

The media could not be loaded. This is the second Kenda Kwest 16" X 1.5" that I have installed on the front wheel of my Cycle Genius recumbent. The first one that I installed last summer seemed to give lower than average tread life. It was nearing the end of it's tread life when it developed a lump in the sidewall. This lump may have developed for any number of reasons: defective tire, maybe, normal tire wear possibly. Most likelyreason is that I always keep the tire pump up to maximum 100PSI and generally overfill to about 105 in order to compensate for the spurt of air that is lost when removing the pump chuck. The tire may have been inadvertently overfilled and overstressed. After shopping around and considering the merits of this tire, not the least of which being it's reasonable price along with a smooth ride, good puncture resistance, good handling and easy installation, I decided to purchase another. I hope to make an update in the future.

I have an old but sleek and quick BikeE AT. I had been a fan of the Schwalbe Marathon tires but when I had a dynamo wheel built, the Weinman rim used was narrower than stock and none of the 16" inch Marathons would fit that rim. Fortunately Kenda had one that fit the Weinman and while I was concerned about durability, the Kendas on both wheels have held up quite well and seem a perfect match for my sporty little bent. They were a lot easier for me to wrestle on to the rim too. One thing, these Kwests are road slicks which means they are built for speed and quick handling, not exactly for grip; so avoid anything slippery like wet leaves.

High quality product - fits my original 1st gen Strida bike perfectly without bulging issues I had experienced with other products.

Check the recommended PSI on the tire (or tires) when you receive them to make sure you get the ones you want. The ones I received say max pressure 65 PSI, not 100. I would have preferred the 100 PSI tires (as the product description in this listing says), but I'm okay with a max of 65, so I'm keeping them. They're well made, and were pretty easy to install.

I used this as a replacement tire on my BOB Ironman stroller. It was easy to get on with tire levers and gives a smooth ride. I will buy more when the other tires need to be replaced.
