I was expecting something much cheaper made, and was pleasantly surprised to find a heavyduty, well thought out product. It even has a lip around the bottom to keep the glass from scraping. Works really well! The mask is a bit stiff, but that's the only improvement we could suggest.

I bought the Nuovo Rade Aqua scope for my dad for Father’s Day. He operates The Andrew Red Harris Foundation volunteer non profit building artificial reefs In the ocean offshore of South Florida. He liked the scope so much he wanted to post a review, but since I bought the scope he sent me the following to post for him: The scope is great and works as advertised. I used it on Father’s day in 55’ and 30’ of water offshore. It gives the same view a snorkeler gets with a dive mask. In response to some of the other comments: 2 stars, “should be black”. I agree and based on this review I painted mine black. Works way better black, but not worth a ding to 2 stars. Need to paint it before assembling. “tempered glass, I think not”. It is tempered glass. “Difficult to use, you have to apply quite a bit of pressure to get it far enough into the water”. Not true. We had three girls use it on our boat and I had to tell them they did not need to push it so far down. When I used it I found it’s just natural to push it deeper than it needs to go. “Black top way too difficult to attach”. It’s a stretch rubber piece over the top of the scope. Has to be tight or it will fall off. “Hard to align sections when assembling”. True, but that’s what happens when you align sections with a large diameter. Just be careful, you only need to do it once. “Glare inside scope”. Need to paint it black.
