DELLA Vario Series 18000 BTU Wifi Mini Split AC, Work with Alexa 21 SEER2 Cools Up to 1000 Sq.Ft, Energy Efficient 230V Ductless Inverter System with 1.5 Ton Pre-Charged Heat Pump & 16.4ft Kit

I bought this DELLA 18,000 BTU mini-split to cool my incredibly hot 200 ft² living room. It's on the southeast corner of my house in Tucson AZ, in direct sunlight from dawn to dusk. In summer, the sun and the 105°-110° air temperatures combine to heat the ceiling and inside walls close to 100°F every clear day. An otherwise excellent 12K BTU portable unit had proven woefully inadequate to handle the massive thermal loads on this room, so it now refrigerates my well-shaded 100 ft° bedroom. This unit works GREAT. It kept this room in the low 70s during the day, and got it to the 60s at night as the walls cooled down. The outdoor unit is so quiet I can't hear it through our old leaky windows, and the indoor unit provides just the right level of white noise for an afternoon nap... until it started making louder noises. That brings us to... 5-star support! The indoor unit started making noise at low & high fan speeds. My handyman, who had recommended and installed this, diagnosed the problem as a bad fan and urged me to contact the company. He has installed many of these units, and the company provided quick and effective support. He told me that the company would send me a replacement indoor unit. They responded immediately to my support request. I sent them videos of the noisy unit as requested. They immediately agreed to replace it, and requested the serial number of the faulty unit (an entirely reasonable request). I replied that I'm disabled, so it would take me a few days for someone to come over here and get the serial number for me. I assumed they would not ship the replacement until I provided the serial number, and that was fine with me... The seller shipped the replacement indoor unit right after I told them I couldn't get the serial number. It arrived today! My unit still worked, and it's much cooler right now, so my situation was not an emergency. If the unit had become inoperative in the summer, every day without AC would have been Hellish... and such prompt service would be potentially life-saving. I highly recommend this mini-split, and I highly recommend this seller. Is there a way to give them SIX stars?

I purchased 2 of the 1.5 ton 19 seer units a year ago. I purchased based on the reviews of the experienced hvac technician. My buddy is a hvac technician and was skeptical at first but he is also now a believer!! Easy installs on both. I am using them to help out 2 standard 5 ton heat pumps that were just not cooling the 5400 square feet with high ceilings that we have. I installed these 2 units across from each other at balcony level of the upstairs of a formal living room that has 24’ ceilings and is approximately 1,000 sq feet with 16ea 4’x8’ windows in it. These units will keep that area at 64 degrees throughout the 95-100 degree summer. They have also allowed the 5 ton units to now hold the rest of the house at 65-67 during the same 95-100 degree days. So in a nutshell, they work!! I did have an outdoor unit of one of them croak just a few weeks ago, but a couple of emails and sending a video of the problem to customer service and boom!! They shipped a new outdoor unit to replace it and it’s back up and running again. I can say it sucked that 1 croaked out, but… it was great to deal with a company that stands behind their products and quickly got my problem resolved. I plan to purchase at least 1 more for another large room to take more load off the big electricity sucking 5 tons. These units are super quiet, have to look up at them to make sure they are running. I have absolutely zero complaints and would recommend these to anyone. Oh, I guess 1 complaint…. They say precharged but both units froze up within a few minutes during initial start up, My buddy had to add about 1 lb refrigerant to each. Mine had the 16’ line sets, so I bet the units are precharged for the units with only 6’ line set. Just keep that in mind.

Leaks down the wall, even though the drain line is ran properly. Doesn't always cool, when set to cool. For heat it doesn't work the first time I turn it on (just found this out, as I live in the southwest and unit is in my garage), I have to turn it off and on a few times to get it to work. Seems like others are having similar issues.

Would definitely recommend.Was first mini split install was straight forward after a lot of research and videos I went with the larger 18000 btu due to a 16 x16 room with a tall turtle back ceiling in bedroom with a attached 11x17 bathroom that gets sun all day long being on the south and east side of house. Had to go through brick wall, which with the right bit was actually easier than I thought would be. Had to run sub panel with disconnect that I got friend to do cause I wasn’t comfortable doing. Everything else I felt confident doing. That being said it would the unit is super quiet and is working fantastic how long everything goes for the future time will tell. I would recommend buying to anyone just watch a lot of different installs and be patient don’t rush. In all took me day in half could have done in day but electric part took little bit and helped him with wire. All in all wasn’t as bad as I thought. Is very quiet inside and out.

Its about time I give these guys a great review. I bought one 2 years ago and it was the best thing ever. It ended up snowing in florida and something broke on my outside condenser. It was one day after the one year warranty and they sent us a whole new set up anyways. Its quiets gets the job done and great customer service
