Accurate and portable
Using this for work, have compared it to commercial anemometers and seems to be accurate. No issues or complaints with it so far.

Don't Buy a Cheap Wind Meter/Anemometer - Any Kestrel is the Best
I own an expensive Skywatch Xplorer 4 but much prefer this Kestrel, the Skywatch is just too small and to be honest the Xplorer 4 does too much infoIt doesn't matter which Kestrel you purchase as they all use the same impeller. The impeller is also replaceable for about £20It's so easy to use and can show wind speed in m/s, ft/min, km/h, mph, knots and Beaufort. Even replacing the battery is a doddle with a coin. It only needs the slightest of breeze to get the impeller turning; about .5 knotOnce finished using the Kestrel you simply slide it back inside it's plastic case, adjustable lanyard is also includedI know the Kestrel's are a bit more expensive but they are definitely worth it. Made in USA as well rather than mostly the Far East (apart from the Skywatch)Highly recommended

bought this as a present
This was bought as a present, but I've been told it works great, the wind speed meter is useful, and has multifunction options
