YES, YES and YES!
After years of using a chemical cassette toilet, having to constantly find dump stations and, let's face it, having to get way to intimate with emptying the thing, I thought I'd give this a try and I'm so glad I did. It works beautifully. Why these simple composting toilets are not a standard RV thing is beyond me. I'll not be going back to standard toilets. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Easy to use, easy to clean, shape makes it easy to pack.
I liked the square shape- no need to add a stabilizer in van. Holds about 4 days of “stuff” for me. Easy to clean. I tried 3 other separator toilets in my van, this one is by far and away the best

Solid construction, easy to assemble
Installation video is only in German <hah> but it's easy enough to figure out....instructions are clear, if printed a hair small (even with my reading classes). Only goes together one way, really ;-)String to make the lid "flip open" wouldn't fit through the holes - I appreciate the ends of the nylon cord being melted so it won't frey, but because of that, they were both too big to fit through the holes on either the crate or the lid...think I'm going to use some twist-ties from my bread bags, rather than make the holes bigger on the lid + box. Will report back as I use this but it seems like a bullet proof design, as long as you realize that (as a guy) you need to sit to do #1 (otherwise you're gonna splash all over). Also, I'm using hamster bedding (wood shavings) rather than overpaying for silly wood chips or pellets. (Old friend of mine does chainsaw carving, so I can also get free woodchips from him ;) Find yourself a creative source and you won't have to pay for anything other than plastic garbage bags. (Also, I double or triple bag, but then as I'm dumping the bag into the garbage, re-use the exterior bags (assuming they haven't been compromised ;)

BOXIO PLEASE REDESIGN ASAP
I do really like the Boxio overall, it’s reallly simple and discrete. We chose to get one for our skoolie build because we know several people with a Nature’s Head toilet that say it’s just not worth it (several design flaws and you’re still disposing of your waste at the end of the day - not truly composting - so why spend over $1000?). I gave it 3 stars because it does share one design flaw with the Nature’s Head: the back of the urine diverter is too low for women! TMI but hey Boxio, get more female testers, our pee comes out with some force and I am CONSTANTLY having urine splashing into the poop box. It’s so annoying! Raising that back part by an entire inch would not even affect how the lid closes, or anything else from what I can see. Please change this and send me one for beta testing. Overall it’s sturdy and holding up well to constant use, but this splashing situation needs to be fixed. It’s too easy! Oh and hot tip, pouring some vinegar inside the urine collection jug helps keep it smelling more neutral.

Works great, cheapest composting toilet out there!
I have read the bad reviews here and honestly, it HAS to be user error. I am sorry but for all the women in the reviews saying it doesn't work for women, you are clearly doing it wrong.I am a women, I have used this for a year now. It works as it should. The urine goes right where it should, I have seen people say that it doesn't and those people don't know how to close things properly obviously. You will not find a better compost toilet for this price ANYWHERE. I dare you to try. Unless you build one yourself and use a cheap funnel for a urine diverter, no you will not find better for less.Like I said, I have used it for a year. I stayed in a trailer with a regular toilet this summer away from my bus and I miss my toilet lol. The Boxio is great if you take the time to learn how to use it properly.

Game changer for camp potty
This is a fantastic product - read the reviews done by people who are actually using it. The advantages of a real compost toilet setup are huge: low smell, long lasting, ease of disposal, etc. For novices, the key is to NOT mix #1 and #2, like a bucket toilet does. And this Boxio really gets the job done in a small package (I use it it a pickup camper, an overlanding setup). I slide it out from underneath storage, into my "central space", and then slide it back. Just get the right size bags (you can buy in multiple places), some filler material (pine shavings if nothing better available) and maintenance is extremely easy - easiest of any toilet I have had. One tip if you are older or a large person - putting it up a bit higher makes it a LOT more comfy. I use a cheap folding plastic step stool (they take up very little space and are good for other stuff). Learn how to use this potty and you'll improve your camping, my opinion.

Terrible design
Bought this for my camping van thinking it would be a better option than my last toilet. WRONG. It’s a terrible design for $200 you’d think they’d thought things through. But if you like crap in your urine holder this is for you. It’s cheap and is not designed what so ever for women. Urine leaks alllllllllll in the bottom of the container collecting there if the lid isnt lined up perfectly. The bags are terrible, the wood chips are foul smelling, crap gets where it shouldn’t. It’s honestly a freakin mess and I wish I hadn’t of gotten rid of my old commode because this is the cheapest product. For $200 I can’t believe what a rip off. Save your money and buy a actual product that works.

Flimsy Box
The media could not be loaded. This product is actually pretty good all-things-considered. Worth it compared to it’s outrageously overpriced competitors Trelino et alia. But the box for solids has already started to fray and be unable to close completely which, as you can imagine, is important for odor mitigation. I’m hoping Boxio will send me another one. Stay tuned.UPDATE: great news guys. Boxio agreed to send me a new one after sending them photos.Tbh, and fwiw, the smells havent gotten much worse if at all than they were before. But still the fraying is a concern. If you stick to thin compost bags you should be OK. I think trying to close the lid on a thicker waste-bag is what did it.
