Oh. My. GOSH! This is awful! How could it get a 5 Star Review?
So you wanna improve your health. Supposedly. You heard drinking some sort of primordial ooze would do wonders and you thought, why not give it a go. Well pal, you better think again. There is nobody on the face of this earth that can drink this unless (of course) you like drinking ground up fish remnants. But hey, who's to argue with the science, right? Fish pills are all over the place. Little pills you can pop like a PEZ and you think your health is gonna improve, right? Of course not. That's why you're considering this vile concoction. You want, "the stuff". Let's agree that the exact same "stuff" your mom forced you to drink when she heard you swearing and there was no soap in the house to stick down your throat so she used THIS as punishment to teach you lesson! Back then you thought, Dear God Almighty...I never wanna taste that again as long as I live! But now you're thinking, why did mom have this putrid dirge in the house to begin with? Well, because MOM'S KNOW BEST! I'm not going to get into the benefits of Cod Liver Oil or the fact that Cod Liver Oil will prolong your life by 50 years. Er. Ah... maybe not. Nor, will I get into the benefits of eating raw goat organs. But Cod Liver Oil is miraculous, says the internet. So if you're considering this you know the benefits and have the courage of a chihuahua verses the mailman, so let's figure out how to slug down this repulsive gruel without you ending up with your kitchen walls spewed with projectile vomit. Actually, it's quite simple. All you need to do is take a swig of some vegetable juice, the spicer the better. Oh, heck with that! Grab a bottle of your favorite bloody Mary mix, take a drink, don't swallow, hold it in your mouth, and then take a big tablespoon of mom's revenge, and suck it all down. GULP! Adding vodka is up to you. There...Was that so bad? Yes. YES. IT. WAS. But it wasn't as bad as if you drank it alone. You'll say to yourself, Hey, I did it! But your breath will still smell like a farmers that's been in a hot field all day long sucking on carp jerky. And you better not get any of it on your hands because, you ain't gettin it off.

Seems like a good quality oil
I've been using this Piping Rock Norwegian Cod Liver Oil Liquid for a few weeks now. I'm the only one in my family who uses it, so I can't say how the other family members like it. I do like it, though. It is fishy when you drink it, that's to be expected. But it's not a real bad fishy taste, and I just chase it down with some water afterwards. It's only been a few weeks, but I know how beneficial fish oil and Omega 3's are, so I know it's doing more good than if I wasn't drinking it. I have a health condition that is not worsening, and I think the fish oil might be helping with it. I will purchase more when needed, and recommend this Piping Rock Norwegian Cod Liver Oil.

BOUGHT IT FOR MY CAT: SHE APPROVED!
WELL....I'm not sure where to start, really, because this product was for my cat's health, as well as her taste for trout. For some reason, she loved her trout, until she didn't. A friend suggested cod liver oil works well for her cats, enticing them to eat when they decide finicky is their mood of the day. I do smell that "fishy" odor I particularly don't like, but my little girl didn't seem to care and still ate it just fine. I can only imagine that it also tastes fishy. The ingredients are definitely something she needs in her diet. We all do, in fact, but since I can't get her to eat raw, fresh fish (such as what they eat in the wild), this is the next best thing.Value for the money...yes, it is one of the less expensive ones, but I will say that for the reason I bought it, it's done the job. My cat did love it at first, and then, as she got used to it, she seems to back off a bit. Never completely, though; however, this is also her nature. I always say, "She loves / likes it, UNTIL she doesn't."

With this oil, I'm never going back to my canned cod liver ways of the past ever again.
I have no problem with the fishy taste. In fact, I'd have more of a problem if it didn't taste fishy, because if it didn't, It would raise my suspicions about what exactly is in the bottle. An oil extracted from fish guts probably shouldn't taste like canola oil. So if I buy cod liver oil and it doesn't taste fishy, then something smells fishy to me, and it's not the oil. Also, the fish taste isn't even that strong. It's like the oil from canned tuna, sardines, kippers, etc. I don't have lab equipment to test the composition, but I've gone through many different brands over the years and this matched my expectations. Also, I prefer this version compared to those with added lemon or orange flavors because the artificial flavor is very pronounced and really clashes with the meals I try to incorporate the oil into, while this version just blends in and disappears. Overall, I'm happy with this oil and will make it my main brand from now on. I think it's the best deal in Amazon for Cod liver oil.

Needs improvement
I don't know about any potential health benefits cuz I'm only about a quarter of a way through a bottle. I will say they need to replace the cap with a squirt type cap that will alleviate the huge mess that gets made every time you try to pour this into a tablespoon. Also, since most people are buying this for health reasons, it would be nice if it wasn't in a plastic bottle that is leaching God knows what into the oil.
