This is quite competitively priced at time of review at just £32.99 compared to other sellers and retailers and upon first use it can be a bit tricky unless you're used to spinning the sticks on a cotton candy machine. It's a case of learning quickly and moving the stick back and forth whilst spinning the stick around between the fingers and hovering over the hot plate at a suitable distance without the flossed sugar getting burned or wrapping itself around the plates bolt/nut. Once you've mastered this art you'll have plenty of fun making your own candy floss. The machine takes around 5 minutes to heat up the spinning hot plate then you're ready to add your flossing sugar in the middle. Best to do this with the unit switched off or you risk flying sugar around the kitchen lol. Once sugar is added turn back on and wait until you start to see fine strands of floss then use your stick to gather it all up. Some have said it's hard to clean but I'd have to disagree as I found this quite easy. I suggest soaking the bowl (pull all the parts off to clean properly) and removable hot plate in hot soapy water and the crusted sugar bits will dissolve easily. As for any sugar build up on the motor I'd suggest you use a tea towel to cover the heating lamp and guard and using a damp scourer to remove hard baked on sugar then wipe dry. A scourer works well to remove the burned on sugar without causing any issues. Obviously let everything cool down before cleaning. This machine produces very similar results to the larger commercial machines although the candy floss will be smaller in bulk for obvious reasons. You actually don't need that much sugar either with a couple of teaspoons (1 teaspoon at a time) making a nice size candy floss. This doesn't come with any flossing sugar btw so I ordered some various flavours here on amazon by gold medal and they work really well with this machine. It uses rubber suction feet on the base so is very stable on the worktop and operation is simple with just the one rocker on/off switch. The design is quite retro-ish and the colour implies fun. Overall it's a great little machine and worth the money but what happens if the heating element stops working? Is this replaceable as there is no mention of replacement of this main part that without would simply not work.

We bought this to replace an old similar machine that broke. We tried a couple of others but they were faulty on arrival so opted to pay a little.more and try this one. Compared to our old one it is great! Quicker to heat and produce strands, it also no produces bigger amounts too. Not fairground massive clouds but it's not a massive pro machine! We were impressed!

We have loads of fun using this machine. Brings back the inner child in us. You just need to make sure you let the device worm up before putting the sugar in. Though the sugar container could be bigger

My sons favourite Christmas present. Works really well. Looks likes you will never get it clean but just warm soapy water gets it lovely and clean. Well worth the money.

This came damaged, there was scuffs all over the red paint work and the package looked like it had been kicked down a hill. Was upset when it arrived as was 6yo Christmas wish present. I contacted seller and got no reply. However I decided to keep the product as it was so close to Christmas and when we used it the cotton candy itself was great. Easy to use easy to clean and great candy results.

This was a Christmas gift and I have loved making candyfloss with different flavours, and eating the crunchy bits that collect around the bowl. It's easy to set up and use. The only downside is it's a bit tricky to clean the spinning plate but that just means extra floss next time! 😂

Make excellent candy, recommend to buy big sticks, hold the stick flat across the surface and wait for the sugar to web, roll and eat.
