ONE OF MY TOP MAFIA READS!!! 🤴👸
This book right here is the reason I love the escape books provide from the real world. RVD has once again blown my mind away with Breaker and Violet's forbidden love story.I have been feeling so emotions gushing in me before I even finish half the book...The suspense was killing me, breaking me and when the moment the secrets were out, I was gasping in between my breaths. Breaker broke my heart and Valerian healed me...I can never empathize with Violet...that girl was in a tight spot.Violet Abandonato is forbidden to every being...either they are scared of her father or ....no they ARE scared of her father...but one man is an exception...Breaker who has been given the responsibility to protect Violet. But he loves her in spite of knowing he could have her, not the "adoptive" son of Capo Tex Campisi. But one more person enters this equation and the chaos breaks out.Violet unknowingly has been claimed by her worst nightmare...Prince...newly crowned King of Russian mob Valerian Petrov. But so many secrets are brewing...and when the situations hets wild..all are in for a shock...and the biggest shock is betrayal from our own blood. That's what we enjoy about RVD's books...they had just the right amount of suspense, heartbreak, love, betrayal, redemption, and boy oh boy, I can never, never emphasize the suspense in this book enough...If you thought Junior/ Jasper and Serena's story was amazing...then this book is definitely for you.

A mafia romance masterpiece. One of my top mafia read EVER.
Rachel Van Dyken created a breathtaking and explosive tale of love and violence in Scandalous Prince. I am an emotional mess. My heart is wrecked. My soul has been claimed. It was such an incredibly beautiful journey through blood and tears! A mafia romance masterpiece. One of my top mafia read EVER.This is the story of Breaker Campisi, adopted son of Tex Campisi aka the Capo and Valentina Abandonato, daughter of Chase Abandanato aka right hand man of the family. He was given the responsibility of protecting Valentina at all cost from a very early age. But what to do with all the feelings they have? What about the secrets Breaker have? Their love is not only forbidden, it appears to be doomed. And soon their lives are going to change forever.Rachel Van Dyken went for kill from the prologue. She didn't even wait till chapter one! I was thrown into this whirlwind affair of mafia life and I loved every confusing, infuriating, addictive and exciting second of it! This story is a mine field of twists and secrets. I have chewed my nails off and was on the process of gnawing through the skin. The suspense was killing me slowly. In mafia style. Rachel Van Dyken won't deliver the blow at one time. Nope. She will break you piece by piece. I went from utter disbelief about the twists to complete rage about the turns. This was the very definition of emotional rollercoaster. And let's talk about the angst. Breaker will break your heart repeatedly. And you will ask for more. Why are these men so amazing? No one writes I-will-die-for-you kind of love like Rachel Van Dyken. Breaker and Valentina took it to extremes. A gorgeous man with dark heart, shattered soul, lifechanging lies, all consuming pain and burden of the world sitting on his broad yet fragile shoulder. A gorgeous girl with soul of an angel, heart of a mafia princess and with fire of hell inside. They sacrificed and took some of the hardest decision for family. But they hurt each other most. I will unashamedly admit that I was openly crying for them. Cosa Nostra is a way of living and that needs walking through hell. Now if you will get out alive and intact, that's something else. Their love and friendship suffered great losses, greater regrets and found the greatesr ending! They found that once in a lifetime kind of love! The mafia romance by Rachel Van Dyken are legendary for a reason. And Scandalous Prince just consolidated that fact. The story line is impossibly complex and addictive. The emotions are raw and intense those never failed to blow my mind away. These are not just romance. This was an incredible and unforgettable journey of love, family, friendship, drama, action, suspense and everything.I reviewed an early copy voluntarily.

The Prince has taken his rightful place
SCANDALOUS PRINCE (Mafia Royals #2)Rachel Van DykenPOV: DualBreaker & VioletThere's no need to read the Eagle Elite series. This is a new standalone Mafia series. There's a who's who intro if you're new to Rachel Van Dyken. But for the EE fans who have been there from the start, you could call it a recap or the next generation.....Blood In.No Out....Let's get scandalous....Violet Abandonato, is, like all daughters, her father's (Chase Abandonato, Senator, also Underboss of the Cosa Nostra, Five Familes) first born, Princess, Mafia Royalty, apple of his eye. Would kill anyone first without thinking or asking questions to protect her. She's smart, pre-med, innocent, naive little Violet. Her brother, Ash, who's a made man at an young age, they have a younger sister Izzy, who's also very smart.Violet has been in love with Breaker for most of her life, ever since he was adopted into the family under Tex Campisi (Capo, Godfather of the Cosa Nostra, Five Families) protection. They've had stolen moments, kisses, here and there. But she's got to keep up this perfect appearance, act a certain way due to her father being senator. She's feisty when the moment calls for it.Breaker Campsi, eldest, adopted son of Tex Campsi (Capo, Godfather of the Five Families). He's very close to his adopted brother King, as close as real brothers can be. He trust him. Breaker is Violet's personal protection. Follows her every move. Has done since he was brought into the family at a young age, and has been watching over her, loving her from afar. Would die for her. Sure they've had their moments in the shadows, sneaking kisses here and there. There are rules in place. Being part of the most influential families in the Cosa Nostra, there are rules that the Father's (the original generation, now heads of their respective families), that none of the kids get involved with one another. It just complicates things further (as they know first hand). Of course, do kids really listen? When Violet encounters a horrific ordeal, Breaker is distraught that he couldn't save her. But this is her sacrifice for her family, saving them. Her parents and family don't know what she went through, apart from Breaker and a few trusted members.A year later, Violet is escorted to her new life or prison. Without her family's knowledge. To keep an alliance with the Russians.Secrets are about to be revealed. How will Violet and the rest of the family react? Will they survive all the heartache that they've been through? My heart broke for these two. Again, thank you Rachel, I was a blubbering hot mess. Hearts and souls are being ripped out. *Please have tissues as they are not provided*Such a gripping read from start to finish. The banter between them is brilliant. Love it! They all have each others backs, family or not, that's what you do. You protect family at all costs. If you like it or not.The twists and turns, will have you on the edge of your seat.Violet was amazing how strong she can be.Can't wait for Ash and Annie's book, DESTRUCTIVE KING book 3, coming 12th Jan '21Tank and Kartini (Novella)Maksim and Izzy (4)

An emotional beautiful story
What an excellent series this is turning out to be in this story we get Violet and Breakers story and boy what a story it turns out to be ......I needed the tissues again but not so much as in the first book . Violet daughter of Chase and Luc destined to be a Doctor but when needed she can be as ruthless as the rest of the children . Only two bosses know about Breakers background and that doesn’t include Tex ( Capo) and his wife who adopted Breaker at the age of ten . He gets on extremely well with his step brother King in fact they are best friends as well as brothers . The love of his life is Violet ,but as we know the bosses don’t allow relationships between the children of the Cosa Nostra . Although Serena and Junior have fought for their right to be together, unfortunately because of Breakers unknown past Chase would definitely not allow his daughter to be with him . Now Breaker’s job is to be Violets security detail he knows he’d be dead if Chase ever saw them being inappropriate with one another . Sadly though one night everything changes and it sets about a chain of events that no one can stop . There’s a OMG moment which leads to a clever twist in the story and a new King is crowned .

Things aren’t always what they seem
Again took a few chapters to get back into the swing and banter of this storyline, but as ever it was totally absorbing and rewarding. The humour and banter between the characters. The disrespect and react. The loyalty to family but the smoke screens that are thrown up to both cover and enhance the story are superb. This is Breaker and Violet’s story. It is full of passion, hatred, trust and dilemmas . You will need a hanky for years and sniffles, but you will not be disappointed. It is a true stand alone, but previous characters are mentioned and have told their own stories, so I feel it is not essential but best if you have read some if not all of the previous novels to not only enjoy, but to understand the dynamics and differences of named characters.

Predictable and way to hyped
This was an okay read for me, and this could be because my tastes have changed. I'm not sure.It felt like I had read it before with all the other books. I'm not sure if the hype ruined it for me. I expected something mind-blowing with the way others went on about it. (Which is why I continued with this book) But there was nothing new to be read that we haven't read before. I'm honestly at a loss of what broke them or had then on edge.I did skim through some parts. (Again, stuff we had read from other books) same descriptive, metaphors etc.I also don't get how someone can be stabbed that many times and not need any medical attention and then go onto getting beat up in a ring like it didn't happen. And unless I missed it(which I most likely did) they went to bed while the office was on fire.However... although I didn't get Ashs grief or love in the first one (to me it didn't have much feeling as we never get to feel a connection like we did with Sergio and Andi) this one, I ignored it as grief and replaced it with just anger. I'm really looking forward to his story. And Izzy. But I can also predict how it's going to go.That said, the book isn't terrible. It's still good, even with its predictability. And yes, I would still recommend someone to read this.

Spectacular!
This book left me speechless, in the best way possible!Absolutely breathtaking and unputdownable!I was hooked from the first page and read it in one sitting as there just was so much going on and I didn’t want to miss a thing.I love the younger generation just as much, if not more, than the older boys. I’m so glad Rachel decided to carry on with the mafia, I think I may have cried for a year if she hadn’t.Bring on book three ;)
