I had been a user of body wash for years but found, especially in the winter, that my skin was dried out and itchy. Finally I started to research natural soaps and that's when I came across The Black Stuff. The biggest reason for trying it was the fact that it was still handmade, in small batches, where as some of the other brands I looked at were not. I had not been disappointed with my choice. The Irish Mountain Rain in my favorite of the scents I've tried so far. Just as described, the scent is very lemongrass forward but I really like it My wife, who is very picky when it comes to scents, loves it as well. It lathers nicely, especially when used with a loofah, rinses cleanly and leaves a light scent that lingers just long enough. I've found that by using a loofah, and storing it outside the shower on a wood soap saver, that I get just over a month of use showering daily. If you are on the fence I highly recommend giving it a shot, you won'e be disappointed.

I am always looking to try new soaps, so I took a chance and ordered a bar of the Irish Mountain Rain. First of all, It smells great. Nice fresh scent, but not overpowering. It's moisturizing, but not too much. It's a little pricier than other soaps, but it's a really nice quality product from Ireland so I don't mind spending a little more. This soap will be in the rotation from now on.

I started buying this soap in the Irish Mountain Rain scent for my husband because of its natural and non-toxic ingredients, and it immediately became his and my favorite men's soap! He smells so manly and amazing! Well worth the money! Especially thankful to have this soap knowing that it's healthy and not putting cancerous ingredients on his body!

I am on what seems to be a never ending search for the perfect natural soap. This is my first bar from The Black Stuff and wasn't overly impressed. The scent is dead on for what is described: a grassy lemon verbena. However, and this is where the stars start to fall off is it definitely is not smooth. Maybe I landed a one off bar but it has more grit to it than the lava soap I use at work. The bar isn't drying but it also doesn't leave the skin feeling refreshed to moisturized either. I'm going to give another bar a try but overall, this was a disappointment.

These soaps have better scents, last longer, and feel nicer than every brand I've tried. This isn't my favorite scent so far, but it is still a very nice one. These soaps really don't fall apart. They get down to the size of a communion wafer in one piece, so if they cost a couple bucks more, there's value in that.

I've started using natural soap over the past two years or so and have tried quite a few different companies and this one has become my go to. The Citrus Cedarwood has a great scent and the rough texture gives a great clean feeling. If you are a fan of any of the other natural companies, this one is very much worth a try!
