Fresh and clean
The media could not be loaded. This get feels nice and fresh. My skin feels taut and clean after washing with this.It does not magically destroy all my acne, but it does get rid of oil, and I don't break out as much. It's a gentle cleanser, not really a powerful acne fighter. But a good oil-reducer.

Great for my sensitive combo skin!
I have sensitive skin with rosacea, combination with more dry and crackly than oily. I was a little concerned that this might be too drying, but I use exfoliants regularly to get rid of that flaky skin and the idea of skipping a whole step is hugely appealing. I really didn't have anything to worry about. Not only is this non-drying, but the formulation is fantastic for sensitive skin. The ingredients work great to keep down my excess sebum without causing more dryness in my most problematic areas. My one beef is where they decided to place the sticker on this box, pictured. Lol luckily it peeled off easily. I think I'll recover. This is a clear gel as the name implies. I guess the scent isn't particularly pleasant, it kind of reminds me of rust, but it's not strong and doesn't stick around – I'd choose that over irritating fragrance any day. The lather is pretty good, but not so huge you can't keep it out of your nose.I'll list the ingredients below. My checker finds nothing of concern and a lot of great stuff. They include a couple of AHAs and Salicylic Acid, soothing ingredients, moisturizers, antimicrobials and antibacterials, and some Vitamin E. The last one will help protect your skin from UVB rays. AHAs are known to increase photosensitivity and the likelihood of sunburn. AHAs are best used before bedtime, and using products with extra protection is always a good idea.I would recommend this gel for any problematic skin, oily or dry, and it's gentle for my sensitive skin, even with the AHAs.Water, Lauryl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Butylene Glycol, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Chloride, Betaine, Potassium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Salicylic Acid, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Leaf Extract, Adansonia Digitata Seed Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Glycyrrhiza Uralensis (Licorice) Root Extract, Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus Extract, Laminaría Japonica Extract, Himanthalia Elongata Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Extract, Gelidium Cartilagineum Extract, Cetraria Islandica Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Polyquaternium-7, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Benzoate, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Tocopherol

Love this combined with the other products in the line
I ended up getting a set of VILLAGE 11 FACTORY products via vine and through purchases to try out.I start with: Active Clean Gel Cleanser (3.38 fl oz/100ml) while taking a shower. It is a clear gel that bubbles up, washes away nicely and leaves my face feeling clean with out drying it out. I should have gotten the Hydro line instead of Active but decided to go with it anyway. Then: Hydro Boost Toner (4.06 fl oz/120ml) (Purchased). I just used a flat cotton round with this toner and wiped around my face and neck with it. It dries quickly, doesn’t irritate my skin, doesn’t burn my eyes. Feels fresh and didn’t dry my skin out.Next: Hydro Boost Serum (1.69 fl oz/50ml). After the toner is dry, I used the dropper to apply the serum and just used my fingers to rub it around. It is also clear, very light. Rubs in easily and dries quickly.then: Hydro Boost Eye Cream (0.85 fl oz/25ml) using the dropper around my eyes, tapping with my fingers to spread it around. It is super light weight and didn’t bother my eyes at all.And finally: Hydro Boost Gel Cream (1.69 fl oz/50ml) (Purchased) spread around my face with my fingers. This also feels really light weight. I don’t like heavy moisturizers that leave my face feeling weighed down and this didn’t do that at all.My thoughts on the whole line – they’re all clear with very little fragrance. The whole line feels light weight and “clean” feeling. Nothing heavy, oily, cakey. I have had no reactions or irritations. My skin feels clean, smooth, fresh and hydrated! I will DEFINITELY be continuing use of this product line, it feels so great on my skin.

VILLAGE11FACTORY Active Clean Gel Cleanser
this is a very light gel with not much smell. It lathers enough with water to get the face cream. It left it feeling refreshed, I did use toner and moisturizer after wards.

Nice face wash
This has almost no fragrance, but what I can detect, smells really neutral and pleasant. I little bit goes a long way. I probably scrubbed my face a lot harder than I should have, but I still found that it was not too drying to my 40 year old, combination skin.

Powerful, Yet Gentle Cleanser
I have nothing critical to say about this Village Factory Cleanser! It appears to be a powerful, yet gentle cleanser that gets the job done. The product has attractive minimalist branding, and is a clear gel with no noticeable scent. It applies easily and lathers up well. When I tone my face after washing, my toner is not pulling up any dirt or make-up left behind, so this cleanser must be doing what it is designed to do! It is also packed with a lot of nice ingredients, including ingredients designed for anti-aging, soothing, hydration, & skin tone. It does have witch hazel in it for oil control, but some people with sensitive skin may experiences issues with witch hazel as I understand it, so just be informed. If I had to pick a negative, the bottle is fairly small. I can see this cleanser lasting no longer than a month with a daily use.
