You will not be disappointed with these glowsticks. I handed them out to all the kids during Halloween. The kids loved it, even the parents. You can see them far away and they last for quite a LONG TIME. I even ordered another 2 boxes for my Senior Adults at camp and the LOVED IT...we could see them walking in the dark pathways that we had. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE. I was confused when I got a box labeled "bubble solution" but it was indeed filled with glow sticks. They come with plastic stretchy strings so you can tie them or hang them (as long as your knot proficiency is nonzero). The glow lasts at least 8 hours - some colors are still glowing as much as 16 hours later. My only complaint with these is that you can't easily tell what color they will glow. If you look at them in daylight or sunlight: the blue ones are colorless, the green ones are yellow with a hint of green, the yellow ones are a golden color and the orange ones are quite orange. However the red and magenta ones are indistinguishable. The only way to distinguish between them without activating them is to use UV light - the blue light from a bug zapper works, a black light is best. Once I discovered this trick I was totally happy with them.

With the exception of purple these are very bright and last all night. The unbroken color has little resemblance to the broken color. The unbroken color can vary significantly for the same glowing color and red and purple are indistinguishable when unbroken. The Red and Orange are useful at night for preserving your night vision. The yellow is pretty broad spectrum and makes a useful emergency lamp. Colors like red and blue can not only be distinguished but recognized using the yellow glow stick. The rest of the colors are good for decoration, kids, etc. There are some quality control issues. My first box had several leaking in the box and they needed to be washed. My second box had 0 orange and 32 Purple instead of 16 of each. I wish I could just buy the colors I want but as these help my 5 year-old get to sleep I don't mind buying the extra as much.

Love giving these out at parties.

Ordered these to pass out on Halloween because we have some kids with allergies in the neighborhood. Most of them worked great and the colors were bright and pretty. I loved that they included string to attach to them. However, some did leak which made me worry about giving them to kids. I carefully checked each on after cracking them to ensure they were not leaking. I would order again and made an excellent thing to pass out at Halloween.

Perfect for parties as well as power outages. Lasts a long time

This product was ordered, asked for a return, ordered again. BOTH times the product came in broken boxes, with the glowsticks falling out. Glow sticks do not stay fresh and work when they are exposed to light.
