Thanks! These were great, better than out of a can we thought. True, there is a little preparation! A good soak overnight in the refrigerator. Cooking for about an hour. Covered, on a low heat. Just a touch of salt and olive oil. A comforting smell while cooking! We separate the cooked beans into three portions, wrap them, freeze two and pop one in the fridge, to go in the next meal. They are super-quick to defrost, a quick rinse under running water or just throw in a cooking meal. :) Thanks again!

stocked up. Couldn't shop had a knee issue...ordered staples from Amazon it was delivered with no fee. Was good to know they deliver to tiny towns. Was a good value an ample amount. Taste Like a Pinto Bean should Taste, Cooked in slow cooker and in an instant pot on pressure cook after soaking. Texture was good and cook times vary.

I can't believe it took me so long to cook dried beans. For over 50 years I've been eating beans from cans, especially pork and beans. But cooking baked beans in tomato sauce with pork belly is so easy and delicious. It's way better tasting than the canned version, and you get a whole pot full that you can freeze in portions. Not to mention that these beans are so inexpensive. Thank you, Amazon, for making this available.

These are great to have on hand. We like to make chili with beans at least one a month, more often during tomato/pepper season. The quality is good, with very few undergrown or split beans. I didn't encounter any stones or dirt clods in the bags we've received. The price is comparable to our local ethnic markets for the weight. If you don't require beans in bulk, I believe these pinto beans are a good value. The 1 lb bags are convenient for storage. I'd appreciate if they came in larger bags. We have these coming in our Subscribe & Save deliveries.
