Since my son is traveling and exploring, I wanted to get him safety items he probably wouldn’t think to buy himself. This seemed like a good deal for a two-pack and the reviews were reassuring. Thankfully, it hasn’t been used, so I can’t speak to real-world performance but I’m glad he has it just in case. It’s compact, easy to store, and gives me peace of mind. Hopefully it stays tucked away forever.

I bought one for each of my children and my nephews. As stated, I am grateful we did not have to use one. However having this hanging on the inside a cabinet gives a sense of security and can be used very quickly and very simply

Great quality on these fire blankets. I purchased them for my family as a gift. A gift I hope they never have to use. I, on the other hand have used mine! We had a fire in my oven … grabbed the fire blanket out of the closet and put it on the fire… it smothered the fire immediately.. So very glad I had it on hand.

The 2-pack is nice. I keep one in my kitchen and one in my garage - the two most likely places for a fire to originate in my opinion. I tried lighting a corner of the blanket with a lighter and it did get blackened but wouldn't support a flame. That's a good sign! You can hang the red plastic bag on a wall and I think the intent is to pull down on the black straps to get the bag to open for accessing the blanket. However, because the bag is held closed with Velcro, it's a bit awkward using the straps to try to open the bag. In an emergency, I definitely would not rely on this method. I'd just pull open the Velcro and grab the blanket. For this reason, I'm deducting one star. I think a better closure would have a wide tab attached to the Velcro outside strip, where the tab had no Velcro on it, making it easier to pull apart the inner and outer Velcro strips. This is an inexpensive way to feel a bit safer around the house. Whether or not you have a traditional fire extinguisher, I think these blankets make sense to keep on hand.

Thank goodness we haven’t had an emergency fire situation and have had to “try them out” but understanding the claims of the product gives us peace of mind….just in case. So, we have 2 on hand kept under the kitchen sink in readiness for a stove fire mishap. The price is great as compared to a more recognized brand sold on Amazon but a careful read of the product makes us feel this is a comparable product for a good deal less. I strongly recommend that whether you buy this one or any other comparable product that you consider keeping this one or another on hand to mitigate what could otherwise be a great tragedy.

A few weeks ago I saw fire blankets on Tik Tok and decided I should get one for my kitchen. I've never had a kitchen fire before but it seemed like a cheap way to protect myself from that "what if." Today I was cooking food in a frying pan and a small spark quickly turned into a big flame. The fire blanket likely saved me from a bad kitchen fire, potentially even catastrophic house fire. Thanks to the fire blanket I'll never know how bad it could have been.

These fire blankets are a must have for any home. Take little space easy to store near stove , grill and/or fireplace. I hope to never use it but I love the added security of having it on hand if needed.

I never want to have to use these, however I am very grateful to have them in the home. Makes me feel more at ease that my grandkids would be able to use it compared to a fire extinguisher. We do have a fire extinguisher also though.

This is the product to buy. I bought another cheeper product but glass fibres became embedded in my skin, causing pain. I returned it and bought this product instead because it had the best reviews. Sure enough, handling this product does not cause any problems - no glass fibres embedded in skin. Buy this one. Not the others.

Finally purchased a fire blanket for my kitchen after seeing them advertised. I got 2 blankets for the price which is a fair deal for the price. Installed it on the wall near my stove. It’s important to use a sturdy hook so the blanket doesn’t fly off the wall when grabbing for it in a fire situation. There are many fire blankets available and I hope the one I chose is good quality. I have no way to tell until I use it, which I hope I never do! I have confidence in this product. It does say fibreglass blanket on the front. I feel so much better with this in my kitchen, especially since my children like to cook. We do have an extinguisher but I don’t feel comfortable using that and it would make a big mess. It’s a good back-up to have, but the blanket will the first thing I grab if needed.
