I am not very outdoorsy, but I needed something to help me trim up my shrubs and loose branches. I would probably hurt myself with a saw or a hatchet, but this is a much safer option. It cuts through branches easily without much effort. I have limited strength so I really appreciate that it doesn't take a lot of elbow grease. It also extends my reach so I'm not having to stretch and strain to get to the taller branches. The best part is that the pruning blades rotate so you can get a comfortable angle. It's a great idea for someone with limited strength or range of motion problems. The set also includes some gloves and hand pruners.

I got this set just in time for spring to help clean up the trees and garden. The long pruner makes it easy to reach high branches without a ladder, and the handheld cutter is perfect for smaller trimming jobs. It even comes with gloves! Very easy to use.

Small pruner is not clip and hold. Larger trimmer is and works. Why did you pick this product vs others?: I thought both trimmers were clip and hold.

This is an excellent product for me to trim my climbing rose bushes. I can reach deep inside, on top and keeps me from getting ‘throned’. The gloves and the extra primer was a surprise also. Very happy.

I just received the three items as described. I used before posting. Please be advised that this was a rapid purchase on my part. The box did not come with any instructions. Please read description carefully before you purchase. The reach will be under 2 feet above your head. It can also help reach lower branches without bending back or knees too much. The pruner will cut/trim thin branches, no thicker than an average index finger. Best for reaching branches with flowers or fruit, but not ideal for thick branches. The additional hand pruners and gloves are welcomed complementary accessories. Since I am always pruning around, I am keeping the set for my gardening arsenal.

I had about 26 + tangerines that were at the top of the tree and were close to their end eating date. I was using the top of a ladder which was wobbly and NOT safe. With this I got them all down. None wasted. I did have to get use to using them because I always hand pruners. It was nice to not have the fruit fall to the ground. Could just put it in the container.

The blade was not sharp at all. It did not cut any small rose branches neither cut flower bushes stems Besides, when hold and pulled handle toward myself pulling unbroken branch of the rose bush - THE HANDLE Broke off. I am angry and threw this tool away for a trash day is today and forgot to take pictures. What a waste of money... Amazon post a warning "frequently returned item !" I should have not purchased it !!!

I have four rose bushes in front of my house, complete with wicked thorns. This allows me to trim the bushes without damage to my skin. It also allows for some weeding, we have a mulberry tree in our neighborhood and the birds drop the seeds everywhere. It was impossible to clip the mulberries growing amidst the roses without looking like I’d lost a fight with a feral cat. This does a great job with those. I was also pleased that the gloves fit because I have large hands and a lot of gloves don’t fit

This is extremely useful. It saves my hands, wrists and forearms from all those pokes and scrapes while trimming my grapevine. So easy to just push the tool in and squeeze. The gripper holds on to the cut item but it holds on the left and you have to turn it upside down to grab on the right side. No big deal once you know that. Also the gripper metal is a little soft and can bend if you are twisting when you cut and remove. Just cut and pull straight out. If it bends, you can easily straighten it. Very pleased with this.

I have back issues and can't bend - pretty much not at all. I use this tool to cut back the stalks of plants when they are finished. It is such a godsend - since I can't get that low. I can reach down and cut stalks at the ground level. And even better, the tool hangs on to the cut piece, so i can release it into a container or just grab and collect the cut pieces in my free hand. I can reach in and down to cut back my rose bushes too. I have already used this tool SO much in my garden as a useful helping tool to do some of the things i couldn't manage before. I hope it stands the test of time as it has made such a difference to me!
