Very challenging, fun and creative project
First off, I am 50 years old. This was very intriguing when I first saw the Wood Trick Pickup advertised as a suggestion for me. It is a skill level "5", and i'm not that skilled - but i wanted it anyway. I took my time, read the instructions carefully and still made some mistakes, but it was a great mind, eye and hand coordination challenge for me. It is 706 pieces, and many of them small, but I couldn't believe how well the pieces fit together snuggly and precisely. This company put their time and effort into engineering and manufacturing this. All of the pieces are on a laser cut sheet of plywood (approximately 6"x12"). No glue is required, or needed. This vehicles has a rotating driveshaft, rear end housing, rear axles and a wind up component (in the engine bay), all made of wood. The wind up band is made of metal, but it is held together by wood. The dashboard, center console, rear console, instrument panel, infotainment screen and door panels are all detailed. I was going to paint this truck, but after all the work that went into engineering and manufacturing of this product, I decided to leave it alone, and maybe paint it in a couple years. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BUYING MORE FROM THIS COMPANY, I am completely satisfied and happy with this purchase and assembly process. I hop everybody else enjoys this, as much as I did.

Another great product from Wood Trick
Love this truck. Very challenging to build. The engineering and quality that Wood Trick put into this design is top notch as usual. Glad to see that didn't use rubber bands for propulsion. Instead they cleverly used a wind up spring. They also cleverly made it so you can push the truck around with out having to wind it up. Great design.

Pairs nice with a good bourbon
Great model, loads of fun, does however require a significant amount of finger strength, though a good set of needle-nose pliers helps tremendously. The material is laser-cut oak, it smells amazing. As you assemble this marvelous model, aromas of toasted white oak waft through the air. I highly recommend pairing its assembly with a mature bourbon, at least a 12 year Knob Creek or better. It will definitely enhance the experience. (For 21 and older only plz)

HEAVY duty! Keep on truckin'!
When you lift the package you'll know. This is one heavy duty model. Be prepared to wrestle with thick parts that are very often reluctant to leave the sheets. Use a piece of dense foam or a kitchen towel as a backer as you literally need to carefully hammer some of this stuff out. Great helical spring motor, spring suspension. No steering, but this runs! This takes some patience, but looks great along with some of their other projects

Challenging and fun!
The media could not be loaded. This is my third WoodTrick and I really enjoy the variation in assembly methods. This would be a great little project for a very bright young mind that enjoys learning mechanical objects. As for the colors of this one, I torched the wood with a small butane torch. I added a little color and am in the process of coating it in polyurethane.Enjoy!

great truck hard instructions
really an amazing work of art took a nice amount of time to build over all am very happy with this item but i found the instructions hard to follow and not as clear as instructions from other company's which resulted in me having to take apart the driving mechanism and reassembling it but was still worth it and definitely worth the price
