Actually effective additive
My 2002 Yukon XL with over 250k miles has started to burn oil. A lot of oil. In a bid to prevent further wear, I've been using this additive since the cats... mysteriously disappeared somewhat recently (don't use this if your vehicle has a catalytic converter). Much more substantive additive than something like Lucas that just increases the viscosity.

Use on late models

Time will tell
Extra zinc in your engine oil sounds like a good idea for air cooled motorsPut a splash of this in my push and ride on mower,

High Zinc
The reason to add this to an oil change regimen is when you have a motor that has a flat tappet camshaft. Including this zinc additive to each oil change will protect your camshaft and lifters from premature failure due to changes in oil regulations that are present today. If you have such a motor I recommend this product as it will help you preserve the performance of your engine. It will help keep it running smoother with less engine noise and a lower temperature. Possibly resulting in better mileage and less leaks down the road.

Worked as expected
I bought this because I was doing a complete valve train replacement ( cam and lifters, timing chain set, new valve springs and seals ). I'm hearing a lot of people say that camshafts are prematurely wearing out during break-in. Personally I use a set of very weak stock valve springs with this zinc additive and for extra added insurance I get a packet of ARP Moly Lube and mix it with the Comp Cams Red Cam break in lube and make a thick paste. I coat every single lobe with a liberal amount and I've never had a camshaft prematurely wear out.

Helped with lifter noise.
Used on a 2005 Nissan Altima with slightly noisy lifters. quieted it down nicely
