Neat starter kit, or emergency solder kit
The kit was an absolute lifesaver for me. The solder included isn't the greatest quality, but will do for non-professional use. Super easy to use, and feels like decent build quality. I wish the sponge included in the stand was a little more substantial, but over all works as intended. The carrying case is awesome, and fits everything nice and neatly. The iron heats up quickly, and I love that it can easily be adjusted. For my particular use, it was used in micro-soldering, and performed remarkably well. The tips are okay, just requires constant cleaning and retaining, but that could also just be used error honestly. Overall, great kit for the cost.

Amazing soldering iron with fast heat-up
This soldering iron has been amazing to use. It heats up quickly and stays stable, so I can get work done without waiting around. I also like that it’s a 120 W unit, which makes heating larger joints much easier than lower-powered irons I’ve used before. The grips feel comfortable and the kit has everything I need in one place. Overall, I’m really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone who does regular soldering.

This kit has got everything you need to get started and is good for price.
This soldering kit has got everything you need to get started and is a relatively good value for the money. With that said, it's not the best of quality. My biggest gripe would be that the cord is not flexible enough to work with comfortably. But it's easy to take on the road. I have used this quite a few times and it has worked well for me. If you have money and can spend more, spend more. I couldn't. It's not perfect. But it gets the job done.

Great value
Great value. Temperature control, which I thought would be suspect has been spot on. I do have a much more expensive unit to compare it to and I love the ease of setup on this one. My only complaint would be the cord is really stiff and holds the bends from storage. What that means is that it does not lay out flat and stay out of the way as much as something with a softer more flexible cord. It's not a major issue, but something to consider.

DO NOT BUY- IT BROKE BEFORE 1ST USE!
I would give this ZERO stars but it won’t let me. I purchased the soldering iron in June of 2025. It sat in the case unused and unopened until 1/21/2026. I opened the top part of the iron to put in a different tip. As soon as I took the case off and exposed the tip of the iron, some of the white protective layer of the iron broke off. It would not heat up due to this break. I didn’t even get to use it. I didn’t even get to heat it up. It broke as soon as I opened it and I’m past the return window so I’m stuck with trash essentially that I paid for the pleasure of throwing away. 😒

Okay but get another roll of solder
I bought 10 of these for a soldering class I was organizing. This is an okay kit, however I strongly recommend that you get a roll of 60/40 leaded solder instead of the unspecified alloy that comes with this kit. Not only it requires a pretty high temperature to melt but it's also not wetting very well even with flux. This is going to be very difficult to use for beginners. I ended up having to give people strips of MG Chemicals leaded solder that I have purchased separately, what a difference! In addition, this kit should really include a pair of wire cutters, which is a must have for soldering jobs. They could drop the wire stripper, it's useless. The tweezers are very useful for surface mount components. The desoldering pump works fine. So, due to the terrible solder provided, I can't really recommend this kit - it is OK if you order a roll separately but it kind of defeats the purpose of buying a kit in the first place.
