I needed something for my car, works great! I had to refill it a few times to get all the pot roast juices out, but I think it did pretty good. Compact in size, easy to manage, easy instructions, decent price. It might be a little on the loud side but it’s quieter than a shop vac in my opinion.

I absolutely loved this spot cleaner. I originally got it for my dogs for when they would get on the couches but I ended up giving it to my sister. We recently used it to clean one of her trucks and it worked wonderful taking some very tough stains out. The truck also smelled great! It took a little bit to dry but not terrible. I do wish the little compartments that hold the chemical and waste were a little bigger but it was awful. If I were to ever need one again I would definitely purchase this same one again!

My bissell carpet cleaner started leaking after a year of using it and needed something more durable. The plastic part of the brush also broke so I couldn’t find a replacement until I decided to buy the dirt devil. I wanted to give it a try and it’s been doing its job. I think the suction is stronger too. It came with cleaning solution as well and worked great! It smells good and not over powering. I love the color of the machine, the only thing is that I wish it can hold more cleaning solution but it does the job and it saves space for sure. I’m pretty happy with my dirt devil.

This is a very basic base model carpet cleaner. It is well constructed and seems to be durable. It was easy to put together and I'm happy with it's performance. It's simple to use. The only thing I don't care for is the cleaning solution is sprayed towards the back of the machine instead of the front, but it's not a huge issue. This is ideal for someone who has a few high traffic areas they need to take care of regularly. I wouldn't recommend it for a while house unless it was a small house or you had only a room or two of carpeting. It would get the job done, but the tanks are on the smaller side and would slow you down. While I am happy with it, I do want to add a caveat. I purchased it as a refurbished item (someone returned it without using it) for $80 and I would be very hard pressed to spend anything more than that. It's good quality, but very basic. If I was spending more I would expect more features and larger tanks.

For years, I've been spot cleaning my aging cats' messes with old washcloths and carpet cleaner from a pump bottle. It took a lot of elbow grease, and I wasn't always able to get it all clean the first time. I purchased this carpet cleaning machine, hoping for a better way. TLDR: The Dirt Devil Portable Spot Cleaner Machine is compact with powerful suction and well thought out design. First, let me say that this is definitely not a carpet cleaner you're going to want for large areas. It's for cleaning small areas - cat vomit, spilled drinks or food, muddy footprints - and does a great job at it. It's quite compact, with the vacuum hose and power cord wrapping neatly around the unit. The collection reservoir is convenient to remove for cleaning and is designed so that there are few tight spaces to collect dirt. A simple rinse is all it takes. The tank for the carpet cleaner is small, but I find that I'm able to do three or four rounds of cleaning up after kitties before having to refill it. The suction is surprisingly powerful, so the carpet is left only a little damp after cleaning, and leaves no visible residue. After cleaning up several messes, I've examined the cleaned area with a bright flashlight and have been pleased to see no sign of anything left behind - unlike the washcloth and pump bottle days. My wife frequently observes that she thought the purchase was a waste of money, when I first ordered the Dirt Devil, but now feels that it was money very well spent.

This solution works well and was great to have on hand (with my Dirt Devil machine) when I got a new puppy! It is small and portable and has a long cord.

It was a little tricky to figure out at first, but once I got it working, it was super easy to use. It lifted the stains right out of my car seats and made them look so much better. Definitely worth it!

If I could give it 3 and a half size I would. Pros: The tanks are easy to clean out, refill, and replace. The unit is compact and the cleaning power is adequate. The noise level is not too bad for a small unit. But the cords are hard to unwrap and wrap back up, and the main vacuum hose broke after one year. We will see how long the duct tape and aluminum tape repair job holds up.

This vacuum is replacing my Bissell wet vac for pets (Pro Heat) and the Dirt Devil is way better. It's a similar design but the DD fixed a lot of product flaws in the Bissell. The Bissell has a rigid hose so mine eventually got a tear. I looked the problem up online and found a lot of people had the same issue since the hose gets twisted so easily and eventually just cracks. The DD is lighter and smaller, so much easier to store. The water tank is also much smaller than the Bissell but that didn't bother me. Suction is about equal on both, but I appreciated that the DD came with an attachment that wasn't a brush (silicone spikes) because the brush is hard to clean and not ideal for certain stains. Also it was impossible to remove the attachments on the Bissell, but it was easy with the DD. The Bissell cleaning head and tank had so many angles on the inside that pet hair would build up but couldn't be cleaned out. The DD cleans easily and the hose cleaner is amazing. I never had any issues mentioned in the other reviews like leaking. The only thing that might be an inconvenience is the small tank size, but like I mentioned, that was no problem for me.
