This night light is perfect for our granddaughters when they stay with us. The light has a nice soft rubbery feel. Similar to a squishy toy, but not as dense. It's not hard plastic. There are two brightnesses. To turn it on move the switch located on the bottom of the light. The switch has three options. Off, 20 minutes, and on all the time. To change the brightness you just need to tap it's head. I actually found it easier just to gently squeeze it's body. The brightest setting was a bit too bright. The lower brightness was better for the bedroom. I tested the longevity of the light after a full charge. After charging the light, I left it on continuously. The light was still bright after 24 hours. It could have gone longer, but I didn't need to test it for that long. It's a very good light for the bedroom or bathroom. KIds love it too.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It’s very cute, but the line in the middle throws it off. Possibly manufactured defect.

Great night light to use without waking up the baby. Gentle tap and you’ll be able to change diapers, check on the baby etc.

I was worried about the quality but I was over all satisfied with how it functions and works and feels!
