Buy this one!!!
Wonderful waffle maker...the best I've used! I like crispy crunchy waffles and this waffle maker delivers both! Excellent heat distribution and deep Belgium grid. Simple to use, a snap to clean, and professional looking as well. So glad I decided on this one. In fact, in my humble opinion, I think that after one bite this waffle maker could inspire the Amish to install electricity!!

Best waffle maker I've used!
I've tried a lot of waffle makers over the last several years, including cheap ones from big-box stores that I actually thought worked quite well. But I wanted something with removable plates to make things easier to clean, and I wanted to avoid Teflon and similar coatings. I tried a cheaper waffle maker (Hamilton Beach ceramic with removable plates) that met these criteria but cooked waffles poorly, perhaps due to being under-powered. I had wanted to try this GreenPan waffle maker for some time, but the high price turned me off for a while -- but after deciding I had enough of the others, I gave it a try, and I'm glad I did! This is the best waffle maker I have used. I'd certainly expect something good at this price, and it didn't disappoint. It met all of my criteria -- removable plates, no Teflon/PTFE/etc., adjustable cook settings -- and makes some of the best-cooked waffles I've made. (Really, some cheap ones did a good job here, too, but some were a bit uneven, perhaps areas where the heating element didn't quite cover as well. Not this one!) The built-in timer is nice and seems to be accurate based on the settings you can adjust (waffle type, texture, and color -- or manual settings), it comes with both classic and Belgian plates that are removable and easy-to-clean, and both sets of plates have a little extra area around the sides to catch overflow, keeping the unit itself easy to clean as well. The biggest disadvantage compared to other units I've used is that this one is a bit small and takes a bit longer to cook than some others (over 5 minutes, depending on settings--I've had some cook in as little as 3 or so in cheap ones I can't adjust anything on), but whatever they've figured out with temperature and time seems to be a winning combination, so I can't complain about the results. Two of these square waffles are about like one of the larger round waffles I've made in some other machines. They make a four-square unit if you wanted to try more at once, but I didn't want to deal with the added expense or space I'd need to store that. The only other odd thing is that while the unit claims to have storage for the extra set of pans, it's not quite what you'd think: it's basically hook/bar on the bottom of the unit you can nestle the plates on while you are storing the unit (they made it sound like it might be something hidden *in* the unit you could keep there while you're using it; you really have to remove them before you set it on the counter to use). This is not practical for me, so I just keep the plates somewhere else. All things considered, I'm glad I finally sprung for this unit and wish I would have done so sooner.

This Waffle Maker Appears To Be a Complete Scam.
Although I do not normally write reviews, I do most of my shopping on Amazon and felt compelled to warn other users about his product. This waffle maker is significantly more expensive than other non-stick waffle makers with removable grates, but we purchased it out of concern about PFAS. After trying to get it work past the 30 day return window, it has remained a complete disaster, and suggestive of a scam. The waffles stuck to the top and bottom plates on first use and every subsequent use, despite the use of several different cooking oils, careful non-abrasive cleaning, and avoiding the dishwasher. The included photos serve as a clear indictment. Contacting customer service was a joke--the reply seemed to be AI generated, and rehashed the incredibly complicated instructions for use found on the website, and which seem to bely the whole concept of "non-stick". Online reviews suggest others have had these issues, and a closer look shows GreenPan has faced a lawsuit for their claims. Based upon this experience, we purchased a Hamilton Beach flip PFAS free waffle maker available on Amazon for one quarter of the price of the GreenPan, which produces perfect waffles every time. One could also simply purchase a cast iron waffle maker and properly season it, which would be no more work than the Green Pan, and much more likely to be PFAS free.

Great little unit. Even cooking. Easy to use. No down time between batches. Good “done” bell.
Well made and easy to use. This is a great little machine (I got the two waffle one). The automatic cooking when making multiple batches works well and the preheat signal and done signal is loud enough to hear! Preheats fast and is quick to make multiple batches with no down time between batches. Storing the extra irons under the unit is a bit tricky so I recommend putting a paper towel between the faces of the plates so they don’t get scratched because the storage mechanism tightly presses them together. Note: there is a latch to keep the unit locked closed for carrying by the handle, and that is locked when you unbox it. The lock is under the left handle, so be sure to remember to open that because it is nowhere mentioned in the instructions. When I’m the crisp cycle it crisps/browns one side a bit more than the other, but that is inconsequential.

Worth it.
I really tried to fight my waffle craving but it turned into me purchasing a waffle iron. I was hesitant about buying it at first, unfortunately by being lied to (only two left in stock) I got it. Literally right after that, it magically changed to 20. Great marketing. It arrived very fast, in a brown box, great for me because I love to hide packages. Upon opening it, I noticed a few hairline scratches, it’s no big deal to me because it’s for cooking not to look pretty. I absolutely love it and how easy it is to use overall. It heats up fairly quickly and cooks my waffles perfectly based on my personal setting. I love how I can switch out the plates to whatever I’m in the mood for. Clean up is easy and it’s easy to shove it out of my way. I like to cook when no one is around to beg, the only complaint is the beeping noise lol. I plan to try every recipe I can think of, but so far I’ve been stuck on blueberry and banana nut.
