Cheap plastic
The cheap plastic ring broke. Water damage is a pain in the butt. Learn from my mistake, and buy something better quality.

Could be a better material but better than alternative
The corrugated pipe could be a high quality. It's soo thin. And it attaches fine to the tub but measures different from the US when trying to find a compatible drain pipe adapter. I ended up using a 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" dwv flex coupling because it was the only thing that would fit. Other than that it drains just fine. Wish the US standardized this because the stand alone tub drain kit is a pain to install

Beyond cheap … and I’m not referring to price.
Pulled flex hose to extend and the end broke off. I was replacing the first one that had been installed and the nut attaching to tub broke and flooded bathroom. Seek another alternative.
